Acer Liquid Metal S120 spotted running Android 2.2 on AT&T bands in FCC
Rumors of a 3.6-inch 800 x 480 Liquid Metal handset from Acer have been heating up in recent months. Now the aluminum handset said to be housing an 800MHz Qualcomm MSM7230-1 processor just cleared the FCC sporting GSM/EDGE 850/1900 and WCDMA Band II and V making it the perfect candidate for an AT&T launch. The listing also confirms Android 2.2 Froyo, GPS, Bluetooth, and 802.11b/g/n WiFi on the tested model S120 DVT2 (that's Design Verification Test 2) prototype

Pair of HTC Windows Phone 7 devices hit the FCC
Not much in the way of specifics here, but a pair of HTC Windows Phone 7 devices have just turned up on the FCC's website, which leads us to believe that some phones might actually be launching any day now . Unfortunately, there's not even so much as a product name to be found (let alone images), but Phone Arena notes that one of the devices uses the WCDMA Band IV, which would make it a likely candidate for T-Mobile, while the other phone's WCDMA V band suggests that it's headed for AT&T. Pair of HTC Windows Phone 7 devices hit the FCC originally appeared on Engadget on Tue, 05 Oct 2010 17:05:00 EST

Nexus One Compatible With W-CDMA?
I’m aware it’s not currently compatible with stateside CDMA services like Verizon, but overseas they use W-CDMA, also known as UMTS. According to the many service availability references on the Google support forum, the N1 does support UMTS 2100, which is what operates Softbanks 3G.
So with that being said, can anyone clarify if the N1 will be able to operate at 3G speeds with UMTS 2100?
