Sausage stylus for the iPhone now on sale in the US

So you thought awesome gear never made the transition from Korea to the USA, huh? Not so in the case of the infamous sausage stylus we spotted a month ago. That cold weather peripheral -- allowing its ingenious users to operate a capacitive touchscreen with gloves on -- has made the big leap over to the Americas and can be yours for the low (seriously low) price of $0.99

Nokia’s Series 40 to ‘offer a compelling touch experience’

Even though it's lived a long, fruitful (some might even say wildly successful) life as Nokia's one and only high-end feature phone platform, Series 40 is suffering from a bit of an identity crisis now that S60 pushing deeper than ever into categories traditionally considered dumbphone strongholds -- one needs to look no further than the C5 to see that strategy in action. So, what's next

HTC HD2 and Moto Cliq XT pricing revealed in T-Mobile database?

Alright, we know there's a big old watermark covering it up, but the HD2's price when it makes its eagerly awaited US debut on T-Mobile has been identified as being $199 after rebate, presumably as part of a two-year commitment with the carrier. As usual with such screen grabs, we can't be 100 percent sure, but that number seems to be in the right ballpark, and is joined by a $129 price for Motorola's Cliq XT and a $69 sticker for Nokia's Nuron handset. All three are expected to arrive at some point this month , though we urge caution with the HD2 -- it's still only a Windows Mobile 6.5 device, in spite of Microsoft's equivocations about Windows Phone 7, and should be obtained solely on the basis of what you know.

Motorola Quench hands-on with video

We had a quick tour today of Motorola's new Quench -- or CLIQ XT as it'll be called on T-Mobile USA when it launches next month -- and for an eighth outing in the Android world, it's pretty slick. Sure it lacks keyboard, but the touchscreen is pretty responsive and now includes Swype input on the virtual keyboard -- and we've found with a bit of practice and patience, Swype can be really fast.

LG GD880 Mini briefly caught on video

So it turns out LG really wasn't messing around with the "Mini" name on its new GD880 full touchscreen set that's likely due to break out at its MWC open house next week, because our dear colleagues at Engadget Spanish have scored a quick video of the thing -- and goodness, it's small. F480 owners and fans are probably going to feel right at home with this thing, a phone that LG claims is the world's smallest with a 3.2-inch display.

HTC Legend makes an encore appearance, this time with specs

The race is on to see how many angles of HTC's upcoming Legend can be snapped before the phone's official debut, so here's our next submission. As you can see, the hard-edged aluminum theme continues to wrap its way around the side with a touch of black plastic along the bottom, presumably to give the antenna some room to breathe. We've got a list of specs this time, too, most of which match up with what we've already heard: 3.2-inch HVGA AMOLED capacitive touchscreen 600MHz Qualcomm MSM7227 processor (the same class of core used by the Pixi and Devour ) 5 megapixel camera with LED flash Bluetooth 2.1+EDR WiFi Quadband GSM / EDGE plus dualband HSPA Magnetic compass 3.5mm headphone jack 1300mAh battery It's no Nexus One or Bravo , but that's the beauty of the way HTC's love affair with Android is turning out -- there's a little something for everyone

LG’s GT350 makes the KS360 look like a punk

LG Neon and KS360 owners, avert your eyes, because seriously -- this thing might be like a knife through your fragile heart. Complementing the GD880 announcement today, LG's showing the full-QWERTY GT350 with a 3-inch WQVGA touchscreen that works throughout the UI, unlike the limited-function touch employed by its predecessor -- and just to twist that knife a little harder, they've gone from a 3-row keyboard layout to four

Peratech’s QTC sensor technology headed to your next cellphone

We've always heard to strike while the iron's hot, and that's exactly what Peratech seems to be doing. Just weeks after we heard that the company's pressure-sensitive touchscreen methodology was being seriously considered by the powers that be, along comes Samsung Electro-mechanics to take 'em up on their offer. For those unaware, Samsung EM provides components to loads of leading phone makers, which could mean that Paratech's pressure sensitive 5-way input device is on its way to your next mobile as we speak.

Samsung’s first ‘Super AMOLED’ phone to debut next week?

Remember Samsung's new 3.3-inch AMOLED with embedded touch-controls? If not then you'd better go back and brush up on your display tech because the first Samsung phone using the new 800 x 480 pixel "Super AMOLED" display is said to be getting a reveal next week at the big Mobile World Congress show. The panel is said to be five times "clearer" and offer 20% better visibility when used outside -- the biggest weakness of existing AMOLED devices like the Zune HD and Nexus One
