Apple delays white iPhone 4 into spring 2011
Let's just be honest, Apple: white stuff is impossible to manufacture. In fact, scientists have yet to prove that white even exists , so we're not sure why you're bothering to try to make a phone out of it! That's right: after a missed availability date in July and another delay after that, Cupertino has once again pushed back the manufacture of the palest iPhone 4 -- this time clear into spring of 2011. It won't say why, but in all likelihood, they're still dealing with the same manufacturing woes they've had from the start

myTouch 3G’s Froyo update well underway
From the looks of T-Mobile's official support forums, it hasn't gone out to everyone just yet -- but it looks like lots of myTouch 3G owners are now getting the official Froyo update the carrier announced back on the 13th of the month. Unfortunately, this doesn't include myTouches equipped with a 3.5mm jack -- those details are slated for "the coming weeks" -- but in the meantime, old-style device owners can expect a pretty stock-looking build of Android 2.2. Oh, and if you haven't gotten it yet, cool your jets (trust us, we know how hard that can be)..

Sharp keeps going with the Sidekick look, intros FX for AT&T
Sharp, you see, hasn't had much luck with its North American phone efforts as of late -- they've made almost all of the now-dead Sidekick series, and the Kin ... well, you know how that ended up working out

Fring bends under the pressure of iPhone video calling, Skype temporarily locked down
We guess this is a "good" thing in a roundabout way, but Fring has just dropped the knowledge that its video calling update for the iPhone 4 has been so wildly successful that they've been forced to temporarily restrict Skype access to "free up capacity" for direct Fring-to-Fring calls.

HTC EVO 4G gets an OTA software update
We don't know exactly what's included, but Sprint's sending out that rumored over-the-air Android software update to HTC EVO 4G devices this morning. It's labeled as version 1.47.651.1, and it's just 21.43MB, so we're guessing it's just mostly bug fixes, but word on the street was that it would "enhance" WiFi, so there's a chance it could enable the EVO's 802.11n support , and we're also hoping for some improved battery life. We'll update you once we see some release notes, but in the meantime let us know how it goes, yeah?

Keepin’ it real fake: HTC HD, too
If you're going to rip off one of the more memorable Windows Mobile devices ever made, you'd think you'd want to at least clone its most notable feature -- but seriously, what do we know about the KIRF business? Yeah, well, this little number manufactured by a firm doing business as "iHTC" (no relation to HTC, we're sure) looks an awful lot like the HD2 , but lacks that all-important 4.3-inch display, instead trading down for a more pedestrian 3.6-inch unit

GeeksPhone One lands in France for a hands-on
Plenty of other Android phones have come and gone since the GeeksPhone One was announced way back in July of last year, but the phone is now finally available in Europe, and the folks at Android France have managed to get their hands on what seems to be one of the first ones. Unfortunately, the device is looking a tad less polished than some of the earlier shots we've seen suggested, and the device's specs don't seem to have seen any upgrades during its prolonged launch (definitely no Snapdragon here).
