Nokia E73 ‘Mode’ coming to T-Mobile next month?
This is totally out of the blue, but we were just hit up with a screen shot suggesting that T-Mobile USA will be launching a portrait QWERTY handset from Nokia on June 16 known as the E73 'Mode.' As is evidenced with the Nuron , T-Mobile has a tendency to assign trademarkable names to Nokias in its lineup that are known elsewhere in the world by their model number only, so we imagine that this phone will end up launching globally simply as the E73 as it takes over the E72's throne as Espoo's top productivity beast. More on this as we get it, but in the meantime, check out a bigger shot of the phone after the break

Motorola CLIQ being served up with fresh firmware
Don't get too excited -- this isn't Android 2.1 , unfortunately, but it is another stab at making the CLIQ stable and usable. We speak from personal experience when we say that Motorola's first Android device has a tendency to bog down and do strange things, so we're pretty excited to see what this latest update does for users since it's promising (among other things) improved battery life, stability, touchscreen accuracy, widget response, and a reduction in unsightly "Force Close" messages. It also throws in support for WMV and WMA media for good measure -- and with the myTouch Slide seemingly around the corner, competition's about to heat up for this guy, so there's definitely some pressure to get this particular update bang-on

LG’s LU2300 set to challenge Samsung’s M100S for Korean Android dominance?
Eternal archrivals-to-the-death Samsung and LG have a tendency to match one another tit for tat in virtually every consumer electronic category, but for whatever reason, LG's been far less interested in going for broke with Android over the past year -- though a preoccupation with Windows Phone 7 Series is a solid guess at this point. Things may be changing, though, now that we've got news out of Telecoms Korea that they're prepping a more brutal assault than the weakling GW620 could ever provide in the form of a so-called LU2300 for the domestic market (we're assuming the actual thing will be a little more...

BlackBerry Magnum prototype spotted, canned in favor of something better?
Okay, before we get too far here, keep your excitement in check: you'll apparently never be able to buy this. The good news, though, is that CrackBerry seems to have it on authority that the phone you're looking at here -- an early Magnum prototype -- has been scrapped in favor of something better, the "Dakota," possibly a stealthy tribute to diehard BlackBerry user Dakota Fanning .
