LG Optimus One headed to T-Mobile with 3G hotspot and WiFi calls?
If the allegedly leaked slide immediately above is the real deal, it looks like the LG Optimus One is destined for T-Mobile, and it's going to get some serious use out of that 802.11 b/g WiFi radio. We knew the quad-band GSM handset was going to have a shot of Froyo on top of some fairly middling specs , but here's an unexpected treat: the Android handset just might be the first Android device with UMA support. If you've already forgotten what that particular acronym means, we don't blame you, as Unlicensed Mobile Access hasn't held the spotlight since the days of HotSpot@Home , but suffice it to say the tech uses a WiFi access point to make free VoIP calls, no cell signal (or minutes) required

Sharp shows off mobile prototype with 3D screen, 3D camera, and 3D output
We've seen enough home theater 3D already to be well and sick of it, but mobile 3D is still an upcoming sector, one which Sharp seems to be making a bid for.

T-Mobile USA CEO Robert Dotson announces his departure
It's been a really uproarious week for CEOs in the tech community -- and it looks like the fun is not quite over yet. Early this morning T-Mobile USA announced the departure of CEO Robert Dotson after 15 years with the company. His resignation will take effect in February of 2011, and he'll stay on the company's board until May, with former T-Mobile Deutschland CEO Philip Humm stepping in to fill his shoes.

Resistive HTC devices can have (pseudo) multitouch, too
"Multitouch on a resistive screen?" We must be joking, right? Not at all -- if we've learned anything from our encounters with a little firm named Stantum , resistive multitouch is not only possible, but potentially preferable to its capacitive counterpart. Of course, that knowledge doesn't help you any if you're currently stuck with single finger commands, but if your phone is made by HTC and running Windows Mobile, you may one day get to see what two digit input feels like.

Tech Help!!?
They say, I just bought an “XM Samsung YP-X5Z, Nexus 50″, I downloaded Napster, I have Windows XP, the latest version of Windows Media Player, and have registered to subscribe to XM Radio. My problem is when you connect the player to my computer with the USB port all I get is three “Ding” sound on my computer and the unit does not appear in WMP or Napster. But if I take the same cable and connect my camera to get the two “ding” sound, and ready to run my camera program. What I can not understand is why is not the player connect to my computer, it is on, I tried to connect directly from the dock connection, the USB port is not even showing when I bring up my file menu. Any idea whats going on here? I do not have the technology to all illiterate, but m ‘is perplexed!

Nexus One experiencing nationwide data outage? (update: it’s back!)
Well, Happy Friday to you, too! We've been inundated with tips from perturbed Nexus One users across the country (and even in Puerto Rico) suggesting that their T-Mobile data coverage is completely out of commission. As you can see above, our own Josh Topolsky is seeing the error in Brooklyn, NY. Some users have reported that their SIM card pulls down data when swapped out of the Nexus One and into another handset, and both T-Mobile and HTC tech support centers have purportedly been slammed
