AT&T starts selling Novatel MiFi at long last: November 21st for $50
AT&T's finally taking a cue from its mobile hotspot-equipped archrivals at Verizon and Sprint, launching a branded version of Novatel Wireless' MiFi 2372 this Sunday, November 21st, for $49.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate. The device is a little more advanced that the one you're used to using on American CDMA networks, featuring an integrated microSD slot that can be shared among connected devices and support for built-in, browser-based widgets that can take advantage of the unit's AGPS for providing weather, local search, and so on

Samsung Solstice II hitting AT&T this Sunday for $30
It's been well over a year since the original Samsung Solstice found its way onto AT&T -- so yeah, needless to say, it's about time for an update. On that note, the Solstice II features triband 7.2Mbps HSDPA, a 3-inch WQVGA (240 x 400, that is) display, 256MB of internal storage with microSD expansion up to 16GB, a 2 megapixel cam with video capture, and threaded text messaging -- one of those features that's quickly becoming a must-have even among less expensive devices.

AT&T lowering some GoPhone plan pricing this weekend, adding bundled data option
Prepaid wireless plans are seeing a resurgence in popularity lately, due in part to the fact that top-tier carriers like Verizon are getting with the program and adding prepaid smartphones into the mix. AT&T is looking to get a little more competitive with its GoPhone brand this weekend, it seems, taking a gander at this chart we've obtained that shows a few options actually decreasing in price -- an absolute rarity for this business. Notably, the unlimited daily talk and text plan will be dropping from $3 to $2, and the per-minute "simple plan" will be dropping from 25 cents to 10 cents

Motorola Flipout coming to AT&T this weekend, Windows Phone 7 gear on October 17?
We've just taken delivery of a fascinating (as opposed to Fascinating , we suppose) list of rumored upcoming launches on AT&T, so let's flesh 'em out. First up, we're apparently getting the Motorola Flipout and the LG Neon II this Sunday; the Flipout has been rumored for AT&T delivery and the Neon II is an obvious replacement (which Rogers has already launched) for the aging Neon , so that all makes good sense. Next up, RIM should contribute the BlackBerry Pearl 3G and Curve 3G on October 3rd alongside a device called the Laser from Pantech

Verizon Wireless changing to Verizon this Sunday, massive new branding campaign planned?
So Droid Life -- which has earned itself a solid record in the rumor game as of late -- is reporting that Verizon Wireless will be dropping the "Wireless" portion of its name this weekend and announcing that it won't be carrying the iPhone 4 , instead concentrating on its high-end line of Android devices that it's done an admirable job of building up lately. We can't speak to the validity of the iPhone stuff, but we're starting to believe the rest now that we've been independently tipped on a new branding campaign that'll focus on the tagline "Rule the Air." Interestingly, it would seem that changing the name to Verizon risks confusing the company with one of its two corporate parents -- Verizon Communications -- which leads us to wonder whether this is a sign that Vodafone could be getting close to relinquishing control of its sizable minority share after years of speculation .

HTC Aria slipping out early into AT&T stores
Good news, Android fans! HTC's Aria -- arguably the first Google-fied phone on AT&T worth caring about -- is seemingly slipping onto carrier floors a few days early. As the story goes, the Sense-equipped, Android 2.1-powered handset was supposed to go on sale this Sunday, but based on these unboxing shots from a giddy tipster, it's clearly ready to be procured early in some locations
