Dell Venue Pro on sale at Microsoft stores, but good luck getting one
So, just as was rumored , it seems Dell pushed a small handful of Venue Pros to Microsoft's seven flagship stores for sale today. We just spoke with a friendly rep who told us they were "going fast" and didn't sound too confident that we'd be able to get one by the time we got down there, but theoretically if we did, it'd be $199 for a new line (or an eligible upgrade) or $449 outright. If you manage to score one, that'll put you about a week ahead of everyone else -- they aren't expected to be available straight from Dell's site until the 15th

MetroPCS turns attention away from unlimited momentarily, launches Walmart-exclusive bucket plans
A quick check of MetroPCS' site reminds us what these guys are all about -- unlimited voice, data, and messaging for less than you'd pay with any of the big guys -- but it looks like they might be exploring a shift in strategy with a handful of new prepaid packages that have launched exclusively through Walmart stores. For $20 you can get 500 minutes and 500MB of data, while moving up to $30 gets you 1,000 minutes and just 100MB of data -- both plans include unlimited messaging -- while a third plan for just $10 nets 200 voice minutes and unlimited incoming texts. Unsurprisingly, the packages aren't available with either MetroPCS' smartphones nor with the Craft , its just-launched LTE handset -- but considering how modern phones of both the smart and not-so-smart variety are emphasizing data and text features over voice, we wouldn't be surprised to see the regionals start to experiment more and more with interesting buckets

Dell Streak, HTC Surround, white Samsung Fascinate, and Taylor Swift-ified white SE X10 coming to Best Buy exclusively
We've got a little more detail on those four new pre-orderable phones up in Best Buy Mobile's business this week now that the news has gone from leak status to official, and needless to say, the truth is even stranger than fiction. The Dell Streak will be available for the first time in retail stores for $299.99 on contract come October 24, joined by a white version of Verizon's Samsung Fascinate for $149.99 on contract; those two will be followed on November 8 by the HTC Surround for $199

Samsung Intercept is up for pre-order, might launch this weekend
Sure, the Epic 4G seems awesome -- but that doesn't mean Sprint can (or should) abandon the midrange Android market, right? On that note, the previously-leaked Samsung Intercept is now up for pre-order on Sprint's so-called EVP site for business discount customers where it's selling for $99.99 on a two-year contract after rebate (though we imagine regular customers coming into corporate retail stores might have to pay more than that). Feature-wise, you're looking at a 3.2 megapixel cam with some sort of video capture, slide-out QWERTY keyboard (this is likely a Moment successor, after all), and your choice of Gray Steel or Satin Pink finishes.

White HTC EVO 4G lands early in Best Buy stores (update: unboxing!)
Good news, EVO 4G lovers! The striking white version of Sprint's most gargantuan (by diagonal screen size, anyway) smartphone has started to splash down into Best Buy stores across the nation a full five days early. If you'll recall, the white EVO 4G wasn't supposed to land in the hands of those who pre-ordered until July 11th, but we've received two independent confirmations that they are indeed arriving early in select locales.

Verizon’s BlackBerry Bold 9650 is actually in stores now
You could order the Bold 9650 from Verizon all the way back in the early days of June -- but in case you you needed to see the phone before buying it, you've now got an opportunity (spoiler: it's exactly what you think it is in real life). As of late last week, the phone is now available in Verizon retail stores for the same $150 on contract after rebate that you'll pay online, so pick your poison -- or, you know, hold out for a Droid X , Droid Incredible , or the like if you're ready for a clean break out of the last decade. LG Ally up for preorder on Thursday, launching on May 20?
We should know a whole lot more about this situation at an Iron Man 2-themed LG event taking place later today, but BGR appears to have scored full details on LG's upcoming Android-equipped Ally for Verizon along with a couple key dates. Most importantly, it sounds like the landscape QWERTY slider will be available in "all channels" (read: telesales and brick-and-mortar stores) on May 20, preceded by an online pre-order this Thursday, May 13. It's got Eclair, a 3.2 megapixel cam, 4GB microSD card in-box, and a Qualcomm MSM7627 core -- the same midrange silicon that powers the Moto Devour .

T-Mobile warming up to Nexus One in retail stores, starts offering covers
So far, T-Mobile USA's been supporting the Nexus One at an arm's length -- Google exclusively manages sales, even if you want a new contract -- but the carrier's taking one small step this week toward fully embracing HTC's Snapdragon -powered beast.
