T-Mobile’s myTouch Slide earns its FCC wings?
Seeing HTC leak a shot of a product through a confidential FCC filing is about as rare as a confirmed yeti sighting, so you can imagine our excitement with this fresh meat that just landed in the Fed's files today.

Behold, the Nexus One car dock… and no, you still can’t buy it (update: oh, yes you can!)
Mind you, this isn't the first time we've gotten a glimpse at Google's first-party car dock for the Nexus One ; it got teased briefly back in February in the course of the phone's video docu-mercial series, yet we're well into the Spring months here and you still won't find any mounted on windshields. We're honestly not so sure how it can take four solid months for two corporate heavyweights -- Google and HTC, with a combined market cap of around $200 billion -- to put something like this together, but considering how prominently free Google Maps Navigation plays into Android's strategy these days, we'd argue there should be some serious pressure behind the scenes to get this thing launched

Verizon’s Incredible new phone may be in stores within ‘two weeks’
It's a mighty aggressive schedule for a handset that hasn't even been announced yet , but the latest scuttlebutt regarding the HTC Incredible suggests that the phone will make its debut on Verizon's airwaves about two weeks from now. It was already known that the Incredible was destined for a rendezvous with Big Red, but this latest word solidifies and specifies that future nicely -- and it's claimed to come directly from internal sources at Verizon.

Orange and T-Mobile UK merger approved by EU, forms 29.5 million customer juggernaut
The European Commission has decided it doesn't mind the crass splicing of pink (okay, magenta ) and orange, and has therefore provided its tastefully hued green light to the UK merger of the two mobile operators. Once the transaction is completed this Spring, we'll still be looking at two delineated entities on the consumer market, but there'll be one back office and one consolidated network servicing the two brands. That'll remain the case for at least the next 18 months, when the joint venture between Deutsche Telecom and France Telecom, the respective parent companies of T-Mobile and Orange, will likely complete the process by rebranding itself into one entity

HTC Magic’s user agent profile says it has a QWERTY keyboard, possible myTouch Slide for T-Mobile?
We'd just heard the other day some hot rumors that HTC's aging Magic would see a new version on T-Mobile this Spring with a physical keyboard added into the mix , and now we've got some corroborating evidence: an official user agent profile for the Sapphire (HTC's original codename for the phone) that proudly boasts of its QWERTY capability. You might think that this doesn't mean much since even Android phones without physical keyboard still have access to QWERTY through software, but actually, the "prf:Keyboard" line in these bundles of XML typically reads "No" if there isn't an actual keyboard in tow
