Black Friday 2010 deals roundup: ultimate mega edition (updated regularly)
Hey guys, did you hear that the day after Thanksgiving everybody gets up at the crack of dawn to go stand in line at big box retailers so they can get the cheapest deals in town? Yes, it's called Black Friday , and like it or not, it's one of the greatest things about living in the United States of America, where making a competitive sport out of purchasing Christmas gifts for your loved ones is only better in reality than it would be on reality television (producers, you know where to find us).

T-Mobile quietly kills off Even More Plus plans, suggests going prepaid instead? (update: still available if you call)
We've just heard that T-Mobile very quietly deep-sixed its Even More Plus plans as of the 13th of this month -- and sure enough, if you browse the site, you'll find that any mention of them has been wiped from the shopping pages. As a refresher, Even More Plus was T-Mobile's way for anyone bringing their own hardware (or wishing to pay full price for new hardware) to get a discount on the monthly plan and avoid a contract, but it seems the plans were either not popular enough or too popular for comfort; unfortunately, we're not sure which. In their place, the carrier is apparently recommending customers go with a prepaid plan -- but that's not quite the same thing since there's no unlimited data option..

Panasonic MW-20 is a digital photo frame, iPhone / iPod touch stereo, and money burner all in one
If you're the sort who fancies a digital picture frame and a stereo dock for your iPhone, Panasonic 's new MW-20 might just be the thing to converge and satiate those needs. The 9-inch frame can display pictures via SD card, 2GB internal memory, or an iPhone / iPod touch via the bundled dock -- and if you've got the device connected, you can also play music video via the frame's internal stereo speakers (there's no indication of any audio out for using your own speaker system, however)

Canadian iPhone 4 launch details emerge: Rogers offers 6GB for $30, iPad sharing for $20 (update: Bell’s iPad deal cheaper)
The iPhone 4 may be launching on all the major Canadian carriers tomorrow , but we're only just now starting to get the actual details on what they'll be offering. Rogers is the first out of the gate and, for a change, it looks like folks in the US may just be a tad jealous of their northern neighbors

I need help computer shopping! Which is a better idea?
I do a lot of memory intensive multitasking. . . mainly for music production, recording, and live performing. . . including reFX Nexus, FL Studio, and Sound Forge. I need something fast, since my computer can not handle its demands. (yes i have tried EVERYTHING from reformatting, to latency settings, to asio sound drivers, to buffer lengths). Which is the better way to go, and is there really much of a speed difference?
- AMD Phenom X4 2. 4 Ghz 16GB DDR2 ram
- AMD Phenom II X4 2. 6 Ghz 8GB DDR3 ram
The 2nd one has faster processing and the ram is ddr3, but the 1st one has more ram even though it is only ddr2. Also, the 2nd one is an AMD II, while the 1st is an AMD 1. Which is the faster of the 2 processors as well as the faster of the 2 ram comparisons? Is there that much of a difference? The first one is cheaper, but I do need the higher specs. Is it a difference that’s really worth it, or will the first one be not that different, and still do justice?
