Yamaha InfoSound prototype talks to your phone as you zone out during TV commercials
Of all the things that the ol' boob tube does well, directing viewers to advertiser's websites is not one of them.

T-Mobile confirms free phone offer for family plans this Saturday
Yes, it's happening : T-Mobile is looking to drum up some serious foot traffic in T-Mobile stores ahead of Father's Day this weekend by making every single one of its phones free on Saturday only -- but naturally, there's a catch. You can only get in on the offer by switching to a family plan or adding another line to your existing family plans, so anyone flying solo is pretty much out of luck.

Droid Incredible’s mysterious OTA update actually fixes Exchange bug
Saturday afternoon, reports came in that Verizon's new Droid Incredible had already received its first OTA update. Nobody knew quite what it did and few even received it, but some figured it probably fixed the smattering of random reboots and radio bugs experienced by some early adopters. We reached out to Verizon on the matter, and we're afraid to say that's not the case -- the new 1.22.605.2 CL161494 software build merely fixes a bug in Microsoft Exchange support.

Police investigating lost iPhone prototype raid Gizmodo editor’s home
The backstory of the lost fourth-gen iPhone prototype acquired by Gizmodo last week is certainly already the stuff of some legend, but hold on tight, because it just got even wilder: Giz editor Jason Chen's house was apparently raided by California's REACT computer crimes task force under the authority of a search warrant on Friday night and his computers and several other items were seized. That means a criminal investigation led by the San Mateo police and district attorney is almost certainly in full swing, which is, well, crazy. As you know, we published images of the iPhone prototype last Saturday, so we're tracking this story as closely as we know all of you are.

FCC Fridays, Saturday Edition
Here we are -- another Saturday, another ironically-named FCC Fridays. As far as we're concerned, there's really no better way to spend a quiet Saturday evening than curled up with a few good SAR reports and authorization letters, so don't be shy -- grab a cup of hot cocoa (with a splash of rum, if you're so inclined) and dig in.
