Samsung Omnia 7 brings 4-inch Super AMOLED screen to Windows Phone 7… a little early
Boy, there's hardly been enough time to catch our breath and analyze the first unintentionally official Windows Phone 7 handset in the form of LG's Optimus 7 , yet Samsung is already joining the fray with its own Omnia 7 . Currently populating its very own landing page on Samsung's Russian site, the Omnia 7 is a 4-inch Super AMOLED beastie with a rather aged 1GHz Qualcomm QSD8250 at its core, 8GB of storage, and a 5 megapixel cam that can do 720p video.

Ulysse Nardin reveals $129K Chairman Diamond Edition
Pretty much anything can be made unfathomably expensive by encrusting it with diamonds -- so when you start with an object that's already rather pricey, you're bound to start brushing up against "only for Russian billionaires" territory. Indeed, we'd argue that Ulysse Nardin's new Chairman Diamond Edition fits that bill nicely, coming in at $129,000 for a combination of 18-carat white gold and over 2,000 diamonds with ceramic trim. You might recall that the plain-vanilla Chairman is already an interesting phone, featuring 32GB of storage, a 3.2-inch touchscreen, Android, biometric scanner, and most notably, a watch-like self-winding mechanism around back that supplements the phone's battery power.

Bluetooth 4.0 devices to make the scene later this year
We were glad to see Bluetooth low energy actually added to the Bluetooth 4.0 spec, but of course the question remained: when are we going to get our hands on it? By Q4 this year, apparently -- at least according to the Bluetooth SIG.

Windows Marketplace tweaked, installs to storage cards now possible (Android, take note)
Microsoft has released an updated version of its Marketplace for Mobile application for WinMo 6.0 and up recently that makes a few key changes -- nothing that's going to shake you to your very core the same way that Windows Phone 7 Series did last week, certainly, but there's some good stuff in here nonetheless. Most importantly, Marketplace will now allow for app installs straight to memory cards, a critical capability for devices that don't have gobs of storage built in (and something that Android tragically still lacks -- for the moment , anyhow)
