What financial trouble? Modu T goes on sale in UK
Modu might be on life support , but that doesn't mean that its latest effort -- the touch-enabled Modu T -- isn't seeing the light of day. British retailer PurelyGadgets (which also launched the original Modu earlier this year) has just announced that it has the new model in stock, charging

ZTE intros Agent for MetroPCS — and yes, Uno is built-in
When our favorite feature of a phone is that Uno is included in firmware, that should give you a pretty good idea of the kind of device we're talking about -- but regardless, the fact that the ZTE Agent sells for $69 commitment-free from MetroPCS makes it notable, we suppose. The candybar features a 1.3 megapixel cam with video capture, stereo Bluetooth support and a 3.5mm headphone jack (which means you've got a music player on board, naturally), microSD expansion, and a 2.4-inch QVGA display.

Samsung Seek takes Boost Mobile in new form factor directions
The classic landscape QWERTY slider layout is nothing new -- at least, not by most carriers' standards -- but for a Sprint subsidiary still tied up in the vintage world of iDEN , hardware moves at a slightly slower pace. That's right: the Samsung Seek becomes Boost Mobile's first-ever touchscreen device with a side-sliding full keyboard, offering a 2.6-inch QVGA display paired with a 1.3 megapixel camera and microSD expansion up to 32GB -- a pretty modest feature set, hence the pretty reasonable contract-free price of $149.99 (compare that to the recently-launched i1 , for example, which goes for $300).

Samsung Champ is about as basic as a touchphone’s gonna get
Look, the Star was so 2009 -- if you're curious about Samsung's vision for high-function handsets in developing markets this year, look no further than this C3300K "Champ" that was announced this week. This 2.4-inch little guy takes us back to an era when 3G was just a twinkle in the GSMA's eye, featuring quadband GSM plus EDGE, a QVGA display, 1.3 megapixel camera, 3.5mm headphone jack, Bluetooth 2.1, and microSD expansion up to 8GB

HTC Wildfire escapes from Yellow Mountain riding Android 2.1 (update: official)
Whoops, a press conference in Germany seems to have inadvertently set HTC's unannounced Wildfire handset loose. The new candybar brings quadband GSM and 900/2100MHz UMTS/HSDPA radios to the Android 2.1 party powered by the ol' Qualcomm MSM7225 processor running at 525MHz

Gigabyte’s first Android phone in the flesh?
What does 9,000 rubles (about $300) buy you these days? If mobile-review's intel is right -- and it often is -- it'll get you this, a phone that seems poised to become Gigabyte's first Android handset. The site had previously rolled out a render of the thing -- but now they've got it in the wild, seemingly -- showing the company's typical GSmart branding and a suspiciously Magic -like layout below the display
