Google Voice Search update helps you personalize your results, helps Google build another database to take over the world

Google Voice Actions was the first step towards our Star Tre k dreams of lassoing the world with naught but vocal cords, and today Google's taken a second hop towards that inevitable future by letting Android devices record our every utterance. Yes, if you've got a handset running Froyo or better, you can download an update for Google Voice Search right now, which will let your phone dynamically personalize its speech-to-text engine to better recognize your voice most every time you use it

Verizon sucks at Photoshop: the Continuum definitely can’t do this, we checked

Notice something missing from that Continuum there on Big Red's home page? That's right: if this were a real phone, there'd be an arbitrary black bar across the screen somewhere around the young lady's midsection, followed by a "ticker" at the bottom... but instead, just as with the iOS-powered Droid X , they've once again exceeded the bounds of reality with a little help from Adobe products.

iOS 4.2 beta hits Apple’s developer portal, wireless printing dubbed ‘AirPrint’

Digg If you're an iOS developer (or good friends with one), today is going to be totally awesome. Apple has just let loose the official iOS 4.2 beta builds for iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch -- meaning that someone somewhere is going to be experiencing multitasking on the 'pad (sans jailbreaking, of course).

Nokia Charging Plate DT-600 hands-on: ‘charge in style’ is all you need to know

Nokia's official marketing documentation for the just-announced DT-600 says that you can "charge in style" and "enjoy the life with full battery." After checking it out here at Nokia World , we don't think we could say it any better ourselves. The device is basically a rubber tray for setting your battery-dependent gadgets with a squid-like array of charging cables coming out of the corners; there are very similar products to this on the market already, but Nokia's got a couple trump cards up its sleeve. Actually, one of them is less of a trump card and more of a Wild Draw Four: although one cable is micro-USB, two of the others are permanently connected 2mm Nokia jacks, an odd decision considering that modern Nokias are moving away from those to micro-USB -- as are most manufacturers -- so we guess they're expecting you to keep a few antiques juiced up.

Apple rumor roundup: Intrinsity behind the A4, ARM being eyed

Mama always said that downpours followed Spring showers, and sure enough, the Apple news has been flowing hot and heavy overnight. For starters, an IEEE report has people talking once more about Intrinsity; if you'll recall, rumors flared up earlier in the month about Apple overtaking said company, similar to the way it acquired P.A.

SanDisk calls it: Microsoft Pink being announced on Monday

Good secrets are hard to keep, and it looks like at least one of Microsoft's trusted partners has spilled the beans on the company's big announce for Monday. SanDisk used the occasion -- the unannounced occasion, that is -- to let some members of the press know today that Microsoft's Pink devices will be compatible with its line of microSD cards. That seems like a pretty lame way to ride on the coattails of a big hardware launch, but then again, when your most exciting products are nondescript pieces of plastic half the size of a postage stamp, how else are you going to make the news?
