Nexus S still leaking on public photostreams, showing exciting new angles

We know that Samsung's upcoming Gingerbread -powered Nexus S is curved in a pretty unusual way , and a new photo on Picasa -- on one of the same photostreams where we've seen "Nexus S" and "GT-i9020" in the EXIF data before -- gives us a new glimpse of the phone at a three-quarter view where we can really see just how curved it is. It's still unclear to us whether the display is involved in the curving or if it's restricted to the bezel above and below the actual screen, but either way, it's a distinctive design element that's sure to attract a lot of attention. Interestingly, the picture was captured on a Google employee's stream just this weekend, suggesting devices are definitely still out in the field -- so let's hope it launches right alongside Android 2.3 in the next few weeks

The PlayStation Phone is still real

By now you've seen our photos of the PlayStation Phone , and likely you've also heard the scattered reports of debunkings and cries of "fake!" -- it wouldn't be a scoop without it. Only here's the thing: the PlayStation Phone in the photos we ran last night, and the device reported on back in August is most definitely real. We're not saying that because we want to believe or because we're gingerly trying to nab pageviews: we're saying it because we know it to be true

HTC PD29110 Windows Phone 7 device hits the FCC, sports T-Mobile frequencies

Sometimes FCC filings contain reams of glorious details , but there's very few here -- just the alphanumeric designation for a HTC Windows Phone 7 handset with 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth + EDR, and a set of cellular frequencies (including AWS) that all but peg the phone for a T-Mobile launch.

RIM shows off BlackBerry 6 multimedia experience, in pictures

While there's still no ( official ) word on when we'll get any BlackBerry OS 6 hardware, much less that 9800 Bold , RIM has seen fit to provide us another glimpse at the software front.

HTC Vision with Android, full QWERTY in the wild?

For reasons seemingly known only to Peter Chou himself, HTC has mostly steered clear of producing high-quality physical QWERTY devices running Android, despite the fact that there might be no phone manufacturer in the world more skilled at making them (let us remind you of the Touch Pro2 , among many others dating back the better part of a decade). Anyhow, we caught wind last month of a possible entry in the form of the so-called "Vision," but we didn't have any visuals -- just a user agent profile that may or may not amount to anything

Windows Live Messenger comes to iPhone

It's certainly not the first app Microsoft has crafted for the iPhone -- the Bing app has been alive and well for a while now, among others -- but you could argue that this is a pretty important one. Windows Live Messenger has just launched for iOS, and it's quite a bit more than your basic IM app with support for some manner of social service aggregation, media-rich status messages, Hotmail integration, and even built-in photo effects.

iPhone 4G: proof

Well what do you know about this? With all those rumors flying around that the iPhone 4G we'd spotted was no more than a Japanese knock-off of an Apple product, it was starting to look like this thing was too good to be true. That is until one of the Engadget editors spotted what seems to be solid proof that this is -- in fact -- the next iPhone

LG LU2300 Android handset gets photos, ‘April or May’ release date?

Actual, honest-to-goodness photos of what is presumably the Korea-only LG LU2300 handset popped up on a site in the SK recently, and like a family pet that plays professional sports (guess who watched Air Bud last night?) it's certainly captured the imagination of the Android-lovin' world at large. The thing is said to sport a 3.5-inch (800 x 480) AMOLED capacitive touch screen, Android 2.1, landscape mode slide keyboard, support for DivX files, a 5 megapixel (720p video) camera with geo-tagging, WiFi, GPS, DMB tuner and -- last but not least -- a 1GHz Snapdragon processor. The stats are consistent with what we've heard before, and now we have a possible release date: April or May.
