Exclusive: HTC F8181 is AT&T’s Brew MP-equipped dumbphone
We'll admit, we'd kinda figured that HTC's venture into the seedy underworld of dumbphones with the introduction of the Smart earlier this year was a non-starter and that it'd quietly fade into the night before 2010 was out, but apparently not -- at least, not if you ask AT&T. We've been slid a couple shots of a new handset from HTC for Ma Bell going by the model number F8181 (it'll have a fancy name like "Bacon," "Double Rainbow," or "Nilay Patel" by the time it launches, obviously) that runs the Brew MP platform Qualcomm has been pushing this year for the sub-smartphone category; of course, it seems to us that smartphone hardware is getting cheap enough to push through nearly every price segment, but if we can expect this to be free on contract, we suppose there might be a market here. No word on dollars or dates just yet, but naturally, we'll keep you in the loop

Samsung Intensity II descends on Verizon
Though Samsung has developed a near-legendary reputation for giving its phones silly names , it turns out that "Intensity II" is surprisingly appropriate in a way: this thing's got an infrared camera. Or at least the 1.3 megapixel shooter has an infrared mode, which should make it unusually adept at taking pictures of things that people never intended to be captured for posterity. Like its predecessor , the Intensity II has a slide-out landscape QWERTY keyboard paired with a numeric keypad in front; you've got a 2.2-inch QVGA screen and microSD expansion up to 32GB, perfect for those thousands of night shots you'll undoubtedly be taking

Boost Mobile confirms it’s getting the Motorola i1, basically
Let's be honest -- there was never any real doubt that Boost was going to share the Motorola i1 with parent Sprint, especially after Best Buy went ahead and threw it up early .

Police investigating lost iPhone prototype raid Gizmodo editor’s home
The backstory of the lost fourth-gen iPhone prototype acquired by Gizmodo last week is certainly already the stuff of some legend, but hold on tight, because it just got even wilder: Giz editor Jason Chen's house was apparently raided by California's REACT computer crimes task force under the authority of a search warrant on Friday night and his computers and several other items were seized. That means a criminal investigation led by the San Mateo police and district attorney is almost certainly in full swing, which is, well, crazy. As you know, we published images of the iPhone prototype last Saturday, so we're tracking this story as closely as we know all of you are.

NFL Mobile comes to Verizon with livestreaming RedZone channel
We'd heard that the NFL would be bringing the RedZone channel to phones this season, and it looks like Verizon was the highest bidder: NFL Mobile will launch on Big Red next month with the draft, complete with live streaming video of the event, on-demand video analysis from NFL Network, a pick-by-pick draft tracker, and other content. Once the season starts, customers will get RedZone, live streams of Sunday night and Thursday night games, on-demand video highlights and analysis, live home and away radio broadcasts, fantasy info, and the usual nasty ringtones and graphics.
