CES isn’t just about incrementally thinner or faster hardware, you know. Some people like to bring legitimately innovative ideas to the show, such as this iPhonECG case, which does what its name suggests: it takes an ECG (electrocardiogram) reading of your heart’s activity through a pair of electrodes and then communicates its findings to an iPhone 4 it can be attached to. We say it can be attached to an iPhone as communication is done wirelessly, so you’ll probably be able to monitor your ticker’s rhythm without the Applephone pressed against your bosom. Then again, maybe you like that. It’s a free world, we don’t judge. We’ll be sending out our most hairy-chested editor to give this thing a proper test at the Las Vegas convention next week. Are there *any* downsides to HDMI to DVI cables besides no audio?
I've seen several threads around the internet concerning this, but I haven't found a definitive answer yet...I'm looking at 24" 1080p monitors to replace the one my daughter took a thumb tack to, and the one that seems the most promising doesn't have an HDMI input. I have no problem with routing the audio through the AV connection, so my only concern is picture quality. Is there any image degredation, scaling issues, artifact, or anything like that when using a quality HDMI to DVI cable to connect the PS3 to a DVI monitor? Thanks

ASUS VK266H LCD MONITOR w/built-in WEBCAM
Ok, I bought this monitor off Amazon for $309 shipped. Ive had it for about 4 months and just wanted to tell you a little about its use with my PS3. Its absolutely beautiful. Supports 1080p and beyond. 2ms response time is much appreciated during MW2 as well as the monitors brightness and lush display of colors. HDMI, DVI, and VGA inputs. Speakers are ok but I have it hooked up to different ones. Heres the thing that prompted my post. During my initial setup with the monitor and my PS3 I decided to hook up usb cord from the back of the monitor(webcam port) to the console. Left it that way since I first did so. I recieved a voice chat invitation from my cousin today to test out his PS3 EYE and to my surprise... A video image was displayed for myself. No need to buy a webcam for my console now.
