T-Mobile myTouch 4G ROM leak includes teaser video, speed-enhanced moniker
We always thought it was peculiar that T-Mobile's third myTouch phone would be simply called "myTouch," especially when earlier leaks tacked on "HD" for good measure. Aspects of the device's ROM leak suggests that isn't necessarily the case -- or, at least, it wasn't always

myTouch HD confirmed by T-Mobile website, could be free on contract?
Erudite tipster Abe found this little gem -- if you search for "HSPA" at T-Mobile's online store, up pops the image above, and as you can no doubt see with your sparkling eyes, that's the myTouch HD we're looking at. Or perhaps just the "myTouch," as that's the moniker on this particular page, or even the "myTouch 2," as that's the name affixed to the tiny image. No matter what it's called, though, it looks like that front-facing camera is confirmed, and given our query we wouldn't be terribly surprised if it had HSPA+ connectivity too.

Motorola MB810 gets a Wi-Fi certification, might just be the Shadow
There's precisely no way to know for sure, but it looks as if the perpetual mystery surrounding the Motorola Shadow may be nearing its end. Just as the weekend was getting kicked off in earnest, a new Moto handset managed to get its own stamp of approval from the fine folks at the Wi-Fi Alliance, and pictures of something that might be the Shadow appeared on laptopmemo.

Windows Phone 7 is the new name, ‘Series’ gets voted off island
Regardless of how you feel about Microsoft's rejuvenated mobile push this year , hatred of the "Windows Phone 7 Series" moniker has been nearly universal -- it's too long, it trips you up every time you try to say it (seriously, just listen to any of our podcasts ), and the "Series" bit doesn't make a whole lot of sense anyhow. Happily, Microsoft has heard the world loud and clear on this one, officially changing the name today to the simpler, happier, more logical "Windows Phone 7." The branding move doesn't have any technical or strategic significance, as far as we can tell -- it truly is just a name change, that's all -- so you can expect the same software to launch later this year that we've already been anticipating... you just won't have to deal with a tongue twister every time you're trying to tell a friend about it
