Nokia’s Qt 4.7 app framework goes gold, encourages Symbian and MeeGo development for fun and profit

Qt forms the backbone of Nokia's multi-platform strategy, linking Symbian and MeeGo under a common framework that it hopes will prevent the developer community from fragmenting and allow MeeGo to freeload a bit off Symbian's massive popularity in the global market. To that end, the latest release -- 4.7 -- is a pretty big deal, both in terms of new functionality and timing since MeeGo and Symbian^3 devices are both just around the corner. The biggest change is the addition of a new UI definition framework, Qt Quick, that includes both a new script-based language for describing user interfaces and a drag-and-drop environment for whipping them up

U-verse Mobile 2.0 for iPhone available, combines downloadable TV shows with remote DVR access

Just as we'd heard it would , AT&T has officially launched version 2.0 of its iPhone app for U-Verse TV customers . Now dubbed U-Verse Mobile, it still allows users to manage and schedule DVR recordings on the go, but now has an updated UI, a favorite channels list, and most notably will allow users (with the U399 or U450 packages) to download a limited selection of shows directly to their phone

Blue ray drive replacement. Laser or laser + deck?

So i'm just looking for only what i NEED and i don't care about buying laser + deck  will make it easier to replace on my ps3. Just wondering how do you exactly know if you only need the laser or the deck too?   I haven't opened my ps3 yet and i can't currently (waiting for torx screwdriver to open up the damn casing) but i want to know if i need to buy a laser and deck or just only the laser.
