RadioShack to sell T-Mobile G2 ‘first’ starting on October 3rd

If you were proactive enough to pre-order a T-Mobile G2 , there's a better-than-average chance that your shiny new smartphone is already en route to your abode. For those who slept in, it looks as if RadioShack will be the go-to place if you're looking to snag one early from the retail universe. According to the badly formatted flyer pictured above, The Shack will be the first B&M location to stock the US version of the HTC Desire Z , and it'll be hawking 'em for $149.99 on a two-year postpaid contract starting October 3rd.

Droid X upgrade to Android 2.2 leaks out

What we're looking at here is allegedly the leaked over-the-air update to Froyo that Verizon plans on deploying to Droid X customers in the next few weeks, which means two critical things for customers: it should generally be faster all the way around, and -- of course -- you've got support for Flash, which was a big topic of interest at Motorola's launch event for the phone a couple months back.

T-Mobile roadmap leaks out, plenty of Android in store

For starters, there's no actual way to confirm that the image you're peering at above is legitimate, but given that the listed Charm just went official , there's at least a sliver of believability here. So far as we can tell, this is T-Mobile USA's 2H 2010 handset roadmap, and as you'd expect, it's chock full of Android .

iWork for iPhone revealed by AppleCare product description?

AppleCare Protection Plan may cover certain types of damage, but it sure didn't stop up today's alleged leak -- if you pick an unlocked iPhone at the online Apple Store for Canada, Australia or the UK today and click the "Learn more" button on the AppleCare option, you'll be treated to this "iWork for iPhone" containing screen. Coupled with the "Open in Keynote" prompt we saw a few weeks back, we may picking up the crumbs of a real app here, even if productivity isn't the first thing that comes to mind when fondling that Retina Display . iWork for iPhone revealed by AppleCare product description

Nokia C2 render spins QWERTY right round

Render plus logo does not a new phone make, but that didn't keep us from admiring the ridiculous form factor on this supposed Nokia C2. While the 'C' label puts the device squarely in dumbphone territory and the only specs available (320 x 240 display, 2 megapixel camera) don't belabor that point, split-horizontal keyboards have a special place in our heart, and we eagerly await their return.

DELL Touchscreen Android leaked on film – CES 2010

Video footage of the Dell Streak – a 5-inch, touchscreen, Android-based mobile internet device, or MID – has hit the net. Tinhte has gotten hold of one of the mythical machines and it looks like a pretty nifty internet tablet-type offering, although being much larger than a phone and much smaller than a netbook means it won’t appeal to everyone. With a 800 x 480 resolution screen, it’s thought to run Android 2.0 and offer Bluetooth, 3G, a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash, a microSD card …
