2011 can't come soon enough, particularly if you're AMD. The company has been attempting to maintain hype behind its CPU / GPU hybrid since last century, but the newest demonstration of its Llano Accelerated Processing Unit (APU) is getting us back in the mood.

One promising technology is face verification -- technology we've already seen implemented in webcams , laptops , and more recently, Microsoft's Kinect for Xbox 360 . Where we haven't seen it broadly deployed is in the easy-to-lose smartphone, at least not with the level of sophistication achieved by the University of Manchester (UK)

Why does my laptop’s touchpad not work in a certain area of my house?
When you try to use a laptop in my room the touchpad refuses to work properly. This happens everywhere in my bedroom, except the far corner of the window (and even then, the touchpad has its moments). Can I switch to any other room in the house and the phenomenon does not exist. Where in the room, trying to move the touchpad will make the mouse pointer to jump up and down sporadically and resist attempts to move more horizontally. Sometimes the mouse pointer will jump up and down the screen by itself without anything close to the touchpad. It seems worse the more I come to chambre.J window ‘I saw this with three laptops so far (part I used in the room), two other forces and Sager. Wireless mouse and USB mouse works correctement.Je know that keyboards work using the capabilities of the finger, but this is confusing me.
