I am seeking an android phone for verizon, but am aware that new software will be coming out soon which may require new hardware… Is it worth waiting a few months for new models to come out or are there any models worth buying right now?

I wanted to start developing one or two android applications, themes or software.
I was just wondering if theres anything specific i need to read,or new software i need to learn.

Obviously im looking to make something really simple.

Thanks

Dell Venue launched in Hong Kong, we go hands-on

Isn’t it fun when you hit the right place at the right time? We just happened to be chillaxing in Hong Kong when Dell chose the city for the Venue’s global launch (and it’s actually hitting the shops slightly ahead of South Korea), so a quick hands-on is inevitable. As we’ve seen previously, this HK$ 3,999 (US$ 514) handset is essentially the Venue Pro’s Android 2.2 cousin sans, sporting the same curved (or “Shear Design”) vibrant AMOLED display at 4.1 inches and 800 x 480, but missing the slide-out keyboard. Under the hood lies a 1GHz Snapdragon with 1GB ROM and 512MB RAM, along with the usual microSD expansion, 1400mAh battery, 8 megapixel AF camera with LED flash, Bluetooth 2.3 EDR, WiFi and AGPS.

There aren’t any surprises in terms of software — the Venue shares the same snappy Stage UI and Swype keyboard with the Streak, except for the lack of landscape orientation for the homescreen (and that’s with orientation enabled in system settings). As for hardware, the killer feature here is the screen, and we found its curved Gorilla Glass to be surprisingly nice for our thumbs while swiping across it. The AMOLED panel underneath is also vibrant with great viewing angles. Elsewhere, build quality is almost solid bar the squeaky battery door, but at least it provides some grip. That’s all we got for now — we’ll delve into more details in our forthcoming review, so stay tuned.

I want to install Android on my iPod Touch 3rd gen. I heard it will not work but I want to really know. All the files I found are for Mac or Linux. I do have a partitioned hackintosh on my computer and am willing to use that. Is it possible to install Android on a 3rd gen iPod Touch with a computer running Windows 7?

Lamborghini Spyder handset totally unneccessary, available in Hong Kong

If you have a Lamborghini , a surfeit of money, and an absence of good taste, have we got the phone for you! Out now in Hong Kong, the Tonino Lamborghini Spyder Series of handsets feature a 2.2-inch display, 3 megapixel camera, 4GB internal storage, 316L-grade stainless steel casing, and -- if you shell out a little extra -- a crocodile skin back. Sort of makes Vertu look reasonable in comparison, eh? No, we suppose not.

HTC Desire HD spotted in the wild with EVO-like form factor, Android 2.2 on board?

Well, would you look at that -- it's an Android 2.2 handset with a giant screen, HTC watermark and plenty of similarities to (though apparently no front-facing camera like ) the EVO 4G. Could this be the 4.3-inch, 1GHz HTC Desire HD

iPhone 4 coming to Canada and 16 other countries July 30th

Not much of a surprise here, but Apple has now finally revised its previous "by the end of July" iPhone 4 launch timeframe for some of the remaining international countries to a specific date: July 30th. That includes Canada, a whole host of European countries, plus Australia, New Zealand, and Hong Kong. Absent from that list, however, is South Korea, which had been among the "end of July" group, but has apparently been pushed back to an unspecified date due to a delay in receiving government approval

Confused pig face mobile phone has paw print buttons, Winnie the Pooh sticker

Oh China, how we love the gadgets you produce. Particularly those of the homegrown variety . We can't say we spotted this pig face mobile during our recent jaunt through the gadget sectors of Hong Kong, but boy, do we wish we had

China Unicom to sell Android phones, not use Google’s search engine

Oh, brother. This just keeps getting better and better, and by "better and better," we mean " uglier and uglier." Google's abrupt decision to stop censoring results in China and redirect users on the mainland to the outfit's Hong Kong portal has stirred up all sorts of tense feelings around the globe, and if you thought this whole war would be confined to the desktop, you were sorely mistaken. China Unicom, which is gearing up to present its customer base with a smattering of smartphone options with Android loaded on, recently announced that it wouldn't be using Google as the search engine on those very phones

Do not trust overseas buyers when it comes to playstation 3 hardware.

Obviously your going to get some offbrand hardware. Which I knew, And I also knew it was not even going to have a battery in it (you have to leave it usb connected) But here is where it gets big... Was listed to have Sixaxis and Dualshock 3 functions
