Samsung Moment update to Android 2.1 available at long last?
Sure, it's been leaked already -- but is Moment -gate 2010 finally about to draw to a close? Quite possibly, because folks running the firmware update executable found on Sprint's site are apparently ending up with a phone powered by Android 2.1 when all is said and done. Considering the fact that the Moment runs stock Android, the update feels long overdue -- but Eclair updates are still pretty hard to come by no matter what kind of phone you're using, so we're just delighted to see it finally happen.

US Cellular follows Alltel’s lead, deploys Samsung Freeform
If this contoured piece of QWERTY kit looks familiar, it should -- it's the same as the Freeform that came late last year to Alltel . US Cellular's version is the same thing (heck, it's even the same color) with a 1.3 megapixel camera, 2.2-inch 176 x 144 display, four-row QWERTY keyboard, and memory expansion up to 16GB via microSD, perfect for the on-board MP3 player (and if you're not a music kind of person, it'll take you a good long while to fill up 16GB worth of storage 1.3 megapixels at a time). Pricing and availability haven't yet been announced, but we'd expect it to be pretty easy on the pocketbook.

Helium Digital straps your wrist with HDBT-990 Bluetooth communicator
This Helium Digital HDBT-990 Bluetooth wristband could be a godsend for businessmen who want to avoid sticky wires and phones to answer a call while jogging, except it does look kind of bland (too hard to add a watch ?). If appearance isn't what you're after, this wristband does offer audible caller ID, A2DP (although it's unclear if you can get stereo output -- we see no headphone jack here; probably just for higher mono fidelity), noise cancellation, and vibration alert for both incoming calls and when your phone is out of range -- the latter kind of mimicking the nio Bluetooth tag .
