Motorola Sage: AT&T’s next Android phone?
We tend to go into full-on conjecture mode when we see an interesting FCC filing, but our instincts haven't let us down in the past , so allow us to throw something out on the table. A new Motorola just hit the feds with 7.2Mbps HSDPA and 2Mbps HSUPA on the 850 and 1900MHz bands, quadband EDGE, WiFi, Bluetooth, AGPS, and a digital compass

BlackBerry Pearl 3G first hands-on!
We just wrapped up a quick play with RIM's just-announced BlackBerry Pearl 3G , and our initial impression is a positive one -- if you've currently got a Pearl 8100 series (or even an 8200 series flip, for that matter), this looks like a must-have upgrade. The phone's UI is lightning fast, the optical pad is plenty responsive (as RIM's optical pads tend to be), and 802.11n and HSDPA are obviously both welcome additions.

BlackBerry Pearl 3G revealed: two keypad styles and 802.11n WiFi
As smartphones go, the original BlackBerry Pearl 8100 series' longevity is nothing short of astounding -- with some minor tweaks, the phone has lasted essentially unchanged for well over three years. Needless to say, it's time for the granddaddy of consumer-grade BlackBerrys to start collecting pension, so it's an awfully good thing that RIM has chosen its WES conference this week to announce the all-new Pearl 3G.

Nokia N8-00 gets first official mention with Symbian^3 and nHD display
Simmer down, we don't have official pics yet (just the supposed leaks ) but we do have the first official mention of what looks to be Nokia's first Symbian^3 handset. The culprit is the "NN8-00r100-3G" XML file sitting pretty on nokia.com right now. The first notables are a " N8-00 " model and the "Symbian/3" string listed in the agent header that seemingly confirm that the N8-00 will run Symbian^3.

Samsung SHW-M120S to be first Android phone with Bluetooth 3.0?
Samsung's all about records: firsts , biggests , smallests , thinnests , you get the idea. Indeed, it was just a few weeks ago that the company managed to slip the very first Bluetooth 3.0 certified handset through -- but these guys never rest, and it looks like they're already prepping to follow up that feat by throwing Android into the mix. The Bluetooth SIG is showing certification for an SHW-M120S model that apparently features a 3.3-inch WVGA AMOLED display, 5 megapixel autofocus primary cam plus VGA secondary, WiFi, GPS, HSDPA, and -- yes, you guessed it -- a Bluetooth Core Version of 3.0, meaning you'll likely be able to fling files around to your house full of Bluetooth 3.0-capable devices with the greatest of ease.

Samsung Monte now official, all the TouchWiz and Google Latitude you can handle
Samsung's just gone ahead and pulled the trigger on announcing its S5620 Monte ahead of Mobile World Congress next week, offering a decent set of social features and Google integration at what should be a pretty reasonable price. The "reasonable price" part of this equation comes thanks to a 3-inch WQVGA display and 3.2 megapixel camera, though exact pricing hasn't been announced; meanwhile, you've got a whole host of features that you'd typically associate with higher-end devices like WiFi, Exchange ActiveSync support, and integration with Google's Latitude service to keep track of your friends' whereabouts from afar.
