Nokia X7 weighs rising shot AT & T brand, to support the hopes and dreams (updated withdrawn)

Is AT & T seriously is preparing to sell Nokia’s smartphone supported again in the U.S.? Long absence of the company to include all U.S. airline smartphone section, it still feels more like a dream into a reality of the future, but the picture above is certainly hard to ignore. According Pocketnow ‘s sources, press photos Nokia X7 is legitimate, and AT & T brand is not a coincidence. Apparently, ^ 3 Symbian-based phones Ma Bell is coming to stores this month, which included eight-megapixel camera (with dual-flash), four Speaker (including the two drivers below), and clear black screen . Hit the source link below to look back. />
Update: Our dreams were dashed Pocketnow , which says the original source is out of date – AT & T is apparently X7 aimed at stock under the name “Nokia Journey” Mobile World Congress in time to launch, but those plans have reportedly been canceled AT & T itself. />
[Thanks, Ben E.]

LG pulls back, ‘will evaluate’ upgrading Optimus series to Gingerbread when specs and source code are public

You might remember yesterday's brouhaha over LG's seemingly false claim that Android 2.3 Gingerbread requires a 1GHz processor or better, using it as a justification for keeping an official upgrade out of the hopes and dreams of Optimus One owners around the globe -- but the good news is that it appears to have been a misunderstanding. Here's the official statement from LG: "LG released information prematurely regarding the minimum processor upgrade requirements for the LG Optimus

Motorola CLIQ XT comes to T-Mobile for $129.99

Your hopes, dreams, and deepest desires for a keyboardless CLIQ have finally materialized today now that Motorola's CLIQ XT has reached T-Mobile shops across the country. Interestingly, yesterday's leaked documentation pegged the date, but not the price -- rather than the rumored $99.99, the XT will actually be going for $129.99 on a two-year contract

Google: Nexus One not supporting 802.11n (for the time being)

Contrary to what we saw two days ago (in this boffo teardown as well as on Google's official spec page) the company is now listing the Nexus One as supporting 802.11b/g and not 802.11n -- conforming at least to the specifications on HTC's official specifications, if not to our hopes and dreams. We'll let you know if anything changes -- again! [Thanks to everyone who sent this in] Google: Nexus One not supporting 802.11n (for the time being) originally appeared on Engadget on Fri, 08 Jan 2010 13:20:00 EST

Google’s Hopes in Android Platform Tie Into a Bright Future for Smartphone Users

Ten years from now things will be very different when we walk into a store to buy a new phone. At least that’s what the Open Handset Alliance group (which includes Google) is hoping for. First, we won’t be walking into a store for a specific device that will perform functions x, y, and z. The hope is that all phones by then will have a standardized OS that will truly have a universal look and feel and be as easy to use as 1-2-3 for the consumer.   There will be none of this carrier-envy and my BlackBerry can do this and your iPhone can’t do that. It’s going to be all standardized, all open source, and all easy to use. Sounds too good to be true? Yes, in some ways it does. I also have to wonder how the actual handset manufacturers feel about this. It can’t make them (and their shareholders) too happy to know that people won’t necessarily care that much whether they’re getting an Apple or an HTC device. It can’t make the wireless carriers ecstatic either. It’s hard enough to figure out what’s the main difference between them other than their network capabilities. So, the Open Handset Alliance has good ideas for all us but where does that leave the wireless and smartphone industry? Source: http://blog. fommy. com.
