HTC Incredible is coming to Verizon, better live up to its name
We've just been able to confirm with a trusted source that the Incredible -- one of the codenames found in HTC's leaked Android 2.1 ROM -- is destined for Verizon. We don't know what the Incredible is, but given its... well, incredible name, we can only assume it's going to be a beast -- possibly yet another name for the Dragon / Passion

Hey, Midwest: is T-Mobile down for you?
We've gotten a number of reports this afternoon that both voice and data services are down for T-Mobile throughout much of the Midwest, including parts of Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, and Tennessee. This wouldn't be the first time in recent memory that the carrier's had a major outage, so we don't doubt it -- but hit us up and let us know what you're experiencing out there in the field right now, alright? [Thanks to everyone who sent this in] Update: TmoNews is reporting that it's actually much of the Southeast -- either way, it sucks! Hey, Midwest: is T-Mobile down for you

Samsung Stunt for MetroPCS performs surprisingly few stunts
MetroPCS' bread and butter rests in the low- to mid-end of the handset spectrum since it offers its devices on a pricey contract-free basis, so it shouldn't come as any surprise that the freshly-announced Stunt from Samsung doesn't mess with the time-tested formula. The candybar trudges along with a 160 x 128 display, Bluetooth, AWS CDMA (like all MetroPCS handsets these days), and a shell utterly devoid of meaningful industrial design -- that's it. No more, no less.

Apple greenlights ridiculously crappy video recording app for older iPhones
At just 3fps and 213 x 160 resolution, we hesitate to call iVideoCamera a "video recording app" -- it's really more of an extremely low-res continuous-shooting still camera -- but at least owners of iPhone 3Gs and original iPhones now have some sort of option for capturing their most treasured moments as one o' them newfangled moving pictures. Jailbroken solutions are nothing new , but this marks the first time a video recording app for older iPhones made it all the way through to the App Store, and at just 99 cents, it may not really matter that the output sucks

Gunman for iPhone finally makes augmented reality awesome
First-person shooters are great stress releases for a world fraught with nagging bosses, horrible traffic, and dry cleaners that screw up your pants, but there's a problem -- the people you're shooting are just collections of polygons on an electronic display. The solution, of course, is to combine the world's love of the FPS genre with real friends and loved ones, and that's exactly where Gunman for iPhone comes into play. Using the phone as your gun and the camera as your scope, you can seek out up to three other opponents in local multiplayer matches or take the hunt global using Foursquare -- when you score a kill, you can post a shot of your unsuspecting victim straight to Twitter

T-Mobile rolling out Android Market carrier billing — on some phones
The good news is that you don't need to hook up that shady Google character (whoever that is) with your credit card information anymore when you're looking to buy paid Android apps from the Market if you're on T-Mobile -- the bad news, though, is that only 1.6 -powered phones are getting the update at this point. Over the course of December, the carrier's going to be pushing a new version of the Android Market on the G1 and myTouch 3G that lets folks charge purchases straight to their phone bills, and -- in line with Google's existing policy -- you'll have a 24-hour trial period before the billing actually goes through. For the time being, CLIQ and Behold II users are being left out in the cold, a sign that carrier billing is joined at the hip with the revamped Market that was pushed out with Donut

Sierra Wireless’ dual form factor AirCard 504 for AT&T gets FCC’d
ExpressCard and PC Card slots both seem in danger of going the way of the dodo right now, but they're not dead yet -- far from it -- which means that carriers still have a vested interest in making sure there are data cards ready to suck $60 out of your wallet in exchange for 5GB of 3G data. So far, AT&T's only been selling a USB modem that's capable of taking advantage of its newly-christened 7.2Mbps markets, which means they've got to get a move on with those other form factors -- and by all accounts, it seems that's where this AirCard 504 comes into play

Motorola Titanium: what is it?
So we're aware of a few Motorola codenames right now: Sholes Tablet , Motus , Zeppelin . One we haven't heard, though, is Titanium -- so when we found a so-labeled device in the FCC today, our interest was particularly piqued.

Motorola prepping 3G module with support for AT&T and T-Mobile USA alike
T-Mobile's oddball 3G network makes creating a device that simply supports all forms of North American HSPA a challenge for a very simple reason: even triband HSPA radios are still a bit of a novelty, and to support everything we've got going on over here, you effectively need to go quadband since AWS splits its duties between 1700 and 2100MHz.

Opera Mobile 10 for Android now available, but not to you
Android's always in need of a better browser. Hell, every mobile platform is -- yes, even your precious Pres and iPhones can always stand to eke out a little more speed, a little more rendering capability, and a little more functionality (yeah, that's right, Flash), and Opera Mobile has always been at or near the top of the game.
