Samsung Focus and Omnia 7 are ready to rock with Windows Phone 7
Samsung's i8910 HD -based Windows Phone 7 prototype has probably been the single most publicly-recognizable face of the platform this year, so it should come as little surprise that the Korean giant has come out swinging with production hardware today -- and fortunately, the pair of retail models look nothing (well, very little) like the proto. The Focus is the phone we've been calling the i917 Cetus in leaks , a curvy, glossy slate with a 4-inch WVGA Super AMOLED display (presumably ripped right out of the Galaxy S line), a 5 megapixel camera, and support for microSD expansion up to 32GB; it'll be hitting AT&T in the States.

Sony Ericsson’s X10 mini meets the FCC
The biggie-sized X10 is now shipping in parts of the world, but let's be honest: every once in a while, you'd probably rather carry around a tiny scale replica of the thing. Of course, Sony Ericsson was happy to oblige with the announcement of the X10 mini back in February -- and now, it looks like we're getting close to finally enjoying some face time with the smallest (and arguably cutest) Android device to come out of a top-tier manufacturer.

Windows Phone 7 Series’ cutting room floor is an extravaganza of bright colors and chunky fonts
It's hard to argue that Windows Phone 7 Series' Metro UI concept isn't utterly unique in the mobile world, but it was wasn't the only option Microsoft considered -- far from it, in fact. The company has published a bunch a design concepts it churned through on its wild, wacky journey to finalizing Metro as we know it today, and one thing's for certain: they'd clearly planned on simple, square lines, partially-obscured typography, and in-your-face colors pretty much from day one.

Is this the Samsung Galaxy 2?
You could accuse Samsung's first production Android device, the Galaxy , of many things -- but you couldn't really accuse it of being pretty. Maybe that's about to change with the phone's replacement, though, now that Androphones has scored a render of a device that appears to be an Android-powered Sammy that's looking a lot more put-together than anything they've released so far. Even better, it apparently has the chops to live up to its pretty face with a 1GHz Snapdragon, 3.7-inch AMOLED display, 5 megapixel cam, Android 2.1, and a whopping 32GB of internal storage on its way to an alleged MWC unveil, but we see one problem here: Samsung makes its own systems-on-chip, so we don't see why they'd be sourcing a Snapdragon here.
