BlackBerry 9570 Storm3 still showing up in Best Buy system
Never mind the Nexus S , right? The long-rumored, unannounced BlackBerry Storm3 still seems to exist -- at least according to Best Buy's "Mobile Genie" system that's used to transfer contacts between customers' old and new devices. Now, we certainly wouldn't take this as concrete evidence that the phone's coming soon -- if at all -- but the find is an interesting conversation piece if nothing else

Caption contest: Gulliver’s iPhone makes it big in Hollywood
So apparently the hidden island of Lilliput has cellular coverage, but who cares -- it's still gonna be another crap movie. Way to ruin Gulliver's Travels with Jack Black. Joe: "Finally, Angry Birds the way it was meant to be played." Darren: "That's a big iPhone." Josh T.: "The monolith taught the monkeys to kill, also, how to make conference calls." Paul: "Time-traveling Jack Black plants hidden iPhone reference in Jonathan Swift novel." Thomas: "It's holding you wrong." Tim: "Eighteen months ago, the first evidence of intelligent life off the Earth was discovered

Droid Pro is the global Droid 2: the evidence grows
We'd reported before our belief that the rumored Droid Pro is nothing more than the dual-mode version of the Droid 2 , but the question remained: knowing that the Droid 2 has a model code of A955, what the heck is the difference between the model codes A956 and A957 that have been showing up in Verizon's systems? Looks like we might have some clarification on that question this afternoon thanks to a new shot clearly calling out the A957 as the R2-D2 version of the Droid 2 that's launching late next month. What does that mean

EVO 4G loses 30fps limit thanks to devoted community (video)
Whatever the reason HTC instituted that 30fps cap on the EVO's graphical output, the issue has just been remedied by -- surprise, surprise -- coders over at xda-developers . We've come across video evidence of the EVO 4G rolling along at a swift 54fps average clip, and another motion picture reel shows the positive effect this has had on the touch-tracking of the handset.

HTC Legend coming to AT&T, according to FCC
That ugly, pixelated label doesn't really look like much, does it? Ah, but there's so much going on here! A closer examination reveals that the label is a dead ringer for the label found underneath the endcap of HTC's lovely unibody aluminum Legend -- but this isn't exactly the Legend with which we're already well acquainted

If the Tower of Babel was a real event, wouldn’t there be evidence?
The study of language is fascinating, we can trace a langauge changes and evolves into a new langauge when they speak the language have been isolated from them. (Look at American and British – the differences of a few hundred years have contributed to). Typically consonants and vowels lengthen or shorten the roots of the original language. It would be easy to trace the origin of language back to a central link (the tower of Babel), that is – a central location. However, there is no evidence that all languages have their origin in the Middle East – and much evidence to the contrary. So there is the tower of Babel, a manifestation allegorical biblical writers used to describe the reasons for the different languages?
Samsung Galaxy Spica getting Android 2.0 upgrade next month?
Among the production Android devices presently languishing on pre- Donut are the Galaxy and Galaxy Spica from Samsung -- both of which use essentially stock implementations of the platform, robbing Sammy of the code-porting excuse that HTC has been using with Sense . That might be close to changing, though, now that Samsung Firmware's saying that the Spica (alias Galaxy Lite) is signed up for a 2.0 update in February and that they "think its [sic] also for the Galaxy." Now, Samsung Firmware is far from an official Samsung source -- but seeing how the site maintains a vice-like grip on every conceivable Samsung ROM the second it's released, they've got some basis to be trusted on these matters. Of course, there's also the circumstantial evidence that the company simply has no excuse whatsoever to sit on the update any longer than it already has -- not to say that's ever stopped a company before, sadly
