DirecTV mobile app now live on Android Market

If you're familiar with DirecTV's iPhone app , then this fresh Android release should be no stranger as both free apps offer the same handy search and record functionalities. No official requirements published yet, but an educated guess would suggest they'd be the same as the iPhone counterpart. The lucky folks over at DBSTalk have once again had a chance to preview this DirecTV app before it went live on Android Market last night, so either get to downloading or head over now for their dandy walkthrough

3D TV’s and PS3

So I've been reading and hearing the buzz that one of this years new electronics to hit the market will be HDTV 3D TV's.  I saw an article that Directv got together with Discovery and IMAX and sometime this year Directv will be the first to initially have three 3D channels to their service.  My wife loves soccer and told me that during the World Cup this year a few games will be broadcast in 3D.   So to relate this to the PS3, what kind of possibilities do you think we'll have to see the gaming world embrase this new technology and have some 3D games being released to play on these new TV's?  Is the PS3 capable of processing and playing 3D games?  Does 3D sound like a logical next step for gaming?  Would you want to wear the big ol 3D glasses?   Please reply with thoughts, opinions, knowledge, links, etc
