TeliaSonera brings LTE to Denmark
It should come as little surprise that it's TeliaSonera bringing Denmark its first LTE network -- after all, the Swedish company was the first to launch LTE service commercially anywhere in the world in mid-2009, so we already know they're moving aggressively to spiff up northern Europe's data services. Currently covering the four largest Danish cities, TeliaSonera says that it wants to cover 75 percent of the population (which is very different from 75 percent of the country's surface area, keep in mind) in 2011

Google Maps Navigation comes to Canada and mainland Europe, remains free as a bird
Patience has had to be your foremost virtue if you were eager to use Google Maps Navigation outside the US or UK , but you might be in luck today as a sizable new batch of countries is getting the free turn-by-turn nav service activated. Following in the footsteps of Coca-Cola, Facebook is seeking to feed your addiction with a new zero version of its online service. 0.facebook.com leads users to a stripped down, text-only version of the social site, which will incur no data charges from your carrier. Of course, you won't be able to access any other sites or rich media without paying for it, but at least the core functionality of reading your friends' witty status updates and writing satirical responses will be there free of charge.
