Zune software headed to Mac, the better to sync your Windows Phone?

It never really occurred to us that Windows Phone 7 buyers wouldn't be able to use their phones in tandem with Apple computers, but here's the confirmation all spelled out: Microsoft's Oded Ran recently tweeted that Zune will let Mac users sync WP7 phones, presumably using an OS X compatible version of the desktop software package. Of course, since the tweet was deleted shortly after it was written, it's possible this was some sort of mistake, but if buyers find the twain incompatible come launch day, you'd best believe there's going to be some consumer outrage. Here's hoping that if the software does exist, it'll sync good ol' Zune media players as well

Unannounced BlackBerry Bold 9780 covered in detail — twice over

The floodgates are really starting to open wide on this Bold 9780 , a phone that by all accounts seems like an ultra-mild Bold 9700 refresh with BlackBerry 6 preinstalled. Both TechnoBuffalo and Mainguyen , a Vietnamese retailer, have full previews posted where we can see the darker bezel in full detail along with confirmation that it'll be packing a 5 megapixel camera and 512MB of RAM, double the 9700's.

Nokia 5250 gets official: €115 for a 2.8-inch touchscreen with 16:9 display ratio (updated)

Nokia is being coy this morning by revealing a trio of pictures of what it only describes as its "new device." Of course, being a devoted Engadget reader, you'll instantly recognize the visage above as that of the Nokia 5250 -- the already leaked successor to the 5230 ( aka the Nuron ). Specs are promised for later today, so contain your excitement until a more civilized hour. For now, you'll find one more pic -- of the bodacious, camera-adorned back -- after the break.

HTC Desire HD spotted in the wild with EVO-like form factor, Android 2.2 on board?

Well, would you look at that -- it's an Android 2.2 handset with a giant screen, HTC watermark and plenty of similarities to (though apparently no front-facing camera like ) the EVO 4G. Could this be the 4.3-inch, 1GHz HTC Desire HD

BlackBerry 9650 spotted in the wild again, ‘Bold’ branding confirmed

The Tour branding never made a lot of sense -- RIM's most recently-released high-end portrait QWERTY device for CDMA networks occupies the same market position as the Bold over on GSM networks, so the name difference is kind of arbitrary and more than just a little bit confusing. It's all good, though, because CrackBerry has confirmation here that the Tour's replacement -- the 9650 -- is going to be wearing a Bold badge loud and proud around back by the 3.2 megapixel camera

iPad OS digging reveals hints of future iPhone, iPod touch, iPad and Nessie

Well, well -- what have we here? A little digging into the mainframe that lies beneath Apple's freshly launched iPad has uncovered a few telltale signs of next-generation hardware, and while this is obviously in no way confirmation that new wares are on the way from Cupertino, this kind of stuff has led to similar reveals in the past.
