Opera Mobile coming to Android within a month, bearing hardware acceleration and pinch-to-zoom
Forget all that Mini stuff , Opera is bringing its full-flavored mobile browser to Android some time very soon indeed. To tempt people on board, the new software will support hardware acceleration for buttering up frame rates while you zoom around at potato-scalding speeds, while pinch-to-zoom will also be implemented in a big O Android browser for the first time. Opera Mini will be partaking in the latter upgrade as well, while Opera Mobile proper is expected to make its debut on the Android Market at some point over the next month.

Motorola Charm pops up on Best Buy for $250, hopefully off contract
We've seen rumors that T-Mobile was considering pleasantly inexpensive ways to get the Charm when it's released, so we're not really worried that we're looking at Best Buy's on-contract pricing here -- after all, $250 sounds about right when you take into account a $200-ish subsidy and a $50 rebate. Anyhow, the biggest box of them all has posted its product page for the cute little portrait QWERTY Android munchkin, promising it's "coming soon" but offering little else in the way of details. Is it just us, or is this a strangely exciting release

SLCD-equipped HTC Desire ‘coming soon’ to Telus
We'd already seen an HTC Desire with North American 3G hit the FCC , and it looks like we now know exactly where it's headed -- Telus has just announced that the phone is "coming soon" to its network. What's more, the carrier has also confirmed that the phone will be equipped with a 3.7-inch Sony Super LCD screen instead of the regular AMOLED display that's in short supply . Otherwise, the phone is the same Android 2.1-powered, Snapdragon-based, Sense-skinned device we've seen all along, which is hardly a bad thing -- unless you're waiting for a Desire HD , that is

Android support for memory card app storage is finally "coming soon"
One of the biggest complaints with Android since the dawn of civilization is that the expansive plains of storage available on microSD cards have been left under-utilized; coldly ignored by the OS while it did everything it could to stuff the measly couple-hundred megs of internal storage with apps. Soon that problem will finally be rectified, with a Google representative closing the long-running Issue 1151. The issue, which covers external installation of apps, was opened in October of 2008 and since then was voted on by 2561 people, all of whom want Google to set their memory cards free

Moto CLIQ hacked to enable FM radio, easy listenin’ coming soon
We wouldn't rate the ability to tune FM radio highly on our wishlist of missing features on Motorola's CLIQ , but nontheless an Android tweaker by the name of Eugene has figured out how to deliver it. The necessary receiving hardware for pulling down the Weekly Top 40 was actually there all the time, Eugene just needed some binary files -- and to believe

Walmart greeters will soon welcome you to a Nexus One with Sprint, Verizon, and AT&T 3G?
Today's Nexus One may be the hottest keyboard-free Android smartphone on the market today, but it doesn't exactly have the hottest network support. That looks like it'll be changing soon thanks to Walmart of all places, which has put up a "Coming Soon!" page for the Nexus One, listing an impressive suite of wireless bands including 1xEvDO for 3G on Sprint and Verizon and UMTS/HSDPA 850/1900 for 3G on AT&T. Could this finally be the network-agnostic smartphone (or smartphones , as the case may be) that Google has wanted, or is it just a case of some optimistic web admin letting his fingers do the walking when writing up this teaser?
