M9 launch Meizu’s Jack Wong’s amasses thousands of fans all over China (video)

Pretty impressive, is not it? Meizu has certainly made a wise decision to launch an Android phone M9 Froyo first day of 2011, which, like most other states, happens to be a public holiday in China. For some fans of Meizu (aka “Mei-yo” or literally “friends of Meizu) out of the second store in Shenzhen, it was already about 60 people queued outside around 6:00. Some it even after twenty braved freezing temperatures last night, though CEO Jack Wong actively avoid such fuss in the forum for human health, promising “all the flagship stores have enough stock” of all pre- subscribers. Meizu does not want to give us the official numbers, but the two Shenzhen store alone could easily have served thousands of customers this morning. When there is no limit to how many units each person can anticipation (¥ 2,499 / $ 379 8GB, and ¥ 2,699 / $ 409 16GB), can you imagine the line assembly Meizu’s for a long time to give his shop 28 other provinces in China. Meanwhile, somewhere in there, Mr Wong is, fortunately, to check his bank account. Video break.

Meizu M9 christens site launch with full specs list

Meizu CEO Jack Wong has been teasing the M9 handset for some time now, and if we're not mistaken, the official site just went live with a full list of specs to boot. As promised , there's a 3.5-inch 960 x 640 resolution screen (reportedly the Sharp ASV display ), and we're also apparently looking at a 1GHz S5PC110 processor (just like the Samsung Galaxy S), Android 2.2, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, A-GPS, 802.11b/g/n, microSDHC, a removable 1370mAH lithium-polymer battery, and support for (drumroll, please) GSM, GPRS, EDGE, WCDMA, HSDPA,and HSUPA. AMOLED shortage to become a surplus in 2011

Samsung's beautiful Super AMOLED panels are becoming more and more common in mobile devices, but they're not as common as they could be if there were more of the things flying out of Samsung Mobile Display factories. Predictably that's set to change in 2011, with SMD planning to fulfill its promise and bring another production facility online, while other competitors in Korea, Taiwan, and Singapore will ramp up their own AMOLED facilities in the coming year. Meanwhile, China is said to be working on its OLED supply chain as well, meaning those displays of the passive matrix variety will also be flying off of assembly lines soon
