Dell’s Mini 5 / Streak tablet UI exposed on video
If you liked what you saw of Dell's Mini 5 / Streak Android tablet-MID-phone-thing at CES but didn't feel like you had enough of a chance to really see it in action, the gray market has come through for you again. We've just gotten pinged with this video of our friend Six-fingers handling what looks to be a fully functioning device, replete with Dell's custom Android skin. You can see the company's customized keyboard, navigation, and apps in the clip, and also raise your eyebrows at the fully functioning multitouch in the browser

Samsung launches Jitterbug J in Red at CES
Samsung's handset for your golden years -- though, they're attempting to change that -- surfaced at CES in red to support the American Heart Association's Go Red For Women movement, and Samsung Mobile's support will ring in at $500,000 based on handset sales (though we're really hopeful they don't have to sell 500,000 sets to make that happen). So if you're looking to contribute, and maybe know someone who could benefit, you'll get your chance sometime this month

LG’s GT540 mixes Android 2.0, pretty, and low-end
LG made the bold leap to Android 2.0 with the low-to midrange GT540 it's showing this week, turning up the style dial a couple notches in a handful of colors (white, pink, dark gray, and black) with stylized wavy backs, chrome accents, and rounded edges.

MagicJack makes a femtocell, might make that advertising worth hearing
Femtocells now offer cell phone service for $1.70 a month with MagicJack! That's just $19.95 a year. $19.95 a year ! MagicJack's femtocell works with mobile phones "potentially" from any carrier, though only GSM is mentioned. Apparently just coming within eight feet connects your phone to the femtocell, after which you can supposedly travel anywhere you like in the house.

Sprint Overdrive 4G mobile hotspot unboxing and hands-on
We just grabbed a Sprint Overdrive 3G / 4G mobile hotspot and put it through some quick tests. If you're used a MiFi , you know the drill here -- you boot it up, it connects to either WiMAX or EVDO, and broadcasts a WiFi signal for up to five devices. Two things make it far more awesome than a MiFi, however: first, the LCD, which displays the numeric wireless password and data throughput; and second, the bandwidth, which peaked at around 4mbps down over WiMAX here in Vegas

ZOMM wireless tether hands-on (video)
Forgetting one's cellphone -- it's a scurge of the modern era. We feel lost without them yet they seem all-too willing to fly away from us at a moment's notice. If you're the type who's been known to leave gadgets lying around at various places you may want to think about the ZOMM

Dell Mini 3 lightning hands-on
Dell wouldn't let anyone get close to the AT&T-destined Mini 3 Android phone, but we just nabbed a quick hands-on with a powered-off burgandy metallic unit. It's certainly compact, we'll give it that. We'll have to see what that "Dell Android" skin is like in person before we form an opinion, though.

High on the list of conspicuously-missing features for the Pre and Pixi has been video recording -- but happily, Palm's looking to close that gap shortly.
