US Cellular teasing ‘The Belief Project,’ unbelievably
Hard to say exactly what these guys have in store, but mega-regional US Cellular is chatting up a grandiose new marketing campaign entitled "The Belief Project" this week, promising a full unveiling of the details on October 1. From what we can see on USCC's teaser site, it'd seem that the promotion is going to revolve around contract-free plans, possibly tied in somehow with fast and frequent discounted hardware upgrade pricing and unlimited data and texting...

Droid 2 review
Even by mid-2010 standards, Verizon's original Droid still looks and feels thoroughly modern -- after all, it set a pretty high benchmark for the upper end of Android's product portfolio when it launched late last year, and Motorola has managed to keep it updated through two major revisions of the platform along the way (in fact, it's still just one of a very few devices running Froyo commercially at this point). That said, it's got a handful of minor design flaws, none of which are really showstoppers in and of themselves but add up to make the phone a little less enjoyable to use than it could've been.

‘The Shack’ downsizes, opens Bullseye Mobile kiosks in many Target stores
Radio Shack is at it again, expanding your perceptions of the place that once actually sold radio components. A year after that ill-received 'The Shack' marketing campaign the company is now making a rather more substantial move, securing an arrangement with Target stores to see the creation of so-called Bullseye Mobile kiosks. This has started with a 100-store pilot program but, throughout this year and into summer next, the expectation is to prop them up in 1,750 big box locations.

Google’s Larry Page: Steve Jobs is ‘rewriting history’ by saying Android came after the iPhone
Steve Jobs might have thought he was lightly playing down reports that the Apple / Google rivalry had dramatically changed when he said " they decided to compete with us -- we didn't go into the search business" at D8 , but it appears that his phrasing didn't sit so well with Larry Page, who told Reuters yesterday that Jobs was doing a "little bit of rewriting history," and that the "characterization of us entering [the phone market] after is not really reasonable." Page, who was being interviewed alongside Eric Schmidt, also said that Google had been working on Android for "a very long time" and that the goal was always to develop phones with solid browsers to fill a market void.
