Droid X commercial reveals a few specs — if you look very, very closely

Verizon's got a teaser ad running for the upcoming Droid X now, but if you see it on TV and you don't have a DVR that can slow down the action, you're going to miss all the good stuff -- in fact, all you really see at full speed is a scary eye that slowly transforms into the lifeless, blood-red vision sensor of a killer robot.

3G video call on Fring for Android: bringing HTC EVO 4G and Dell Streak together (hands-on)

Consider this: you may have an Android phone with a front-facing camera, and so do your distant loved ones (yes, friends count too). Now slap that free IM app Fring onto your phone, and the once-dormant chat camera shall finally come to life -- right now only the Streak and EVO 4G are confirmed to be supported, whereas the others (like the X10 ) will have to rely on their main cameras

iPhone KIRFs up to 4.3-inch screen, claims invincibility from haters

Hey, just because Apple won't make one doesn't mean you can't have a 4.3-inch iPhone. This here product of Chinese ingenuity offers you as much real estate as "the king of HTC HD2" while also throwing both digital and analog TV tuners into the mix. When you factor in the dual SIM compatibility, 2 megapixel camera, WiFi, and a removable back cover, it's enough for anyone to agree that "even a popular niche iPhone 4G had to step aside!" Nokia C7 caught with 8 megapixel camera?

After seeing the C7 listed in what looked to be legitimate Nokia documents, we now have our first look at the handset -- or at least a device that claims to be the C7-00. Purported specs scrapped from a Chinese site suggest an 8 megapixel camera with dual-LED flash, stereo speakers, 3.5-mm headphone jack, and a display measuring about 3.5-inches

Samsung Restore coming to Sprint this weekend for $50

Sprint's latest option for saving the environment will run you exactly $49.99 on contract after rebate, and it'll be available in just a couple days' time. It might not be the hot news on the carrier right this second, granted, but we imagine a few folks will fall for the Samsung Restore's sliding landscape QWERTY keyboard, Energy Star 2.0-compliant charger, 2 megapixel camera, and microSD expansion all the way up to 32GB (assuming you can find a 32GB card, that is). Sunday, June 6 is your target date in your choice of "midnight" or "limeade," but you can start preparing now by recycling stuff and buying a hybrid car

Nokia’s C1 and C2 series try hard not to break even the smallest of banks

It looks like Nokia's conversion from the time-tested four-digit naming scheme to the one-letter, one-number strategy may be nearing completion now that the company has announced a new series of ultra-low end candybars that all have homes within the Cseries . The C1 is actually a three-pack of phones -- the C1-00, C1-01, and C1-02 -- all of which feature Nokia's longest standby time ever (quoted at six weeks ) along with a color display, integrated flashlight, 3.5mm headphone hack, and FM radio; the 01 and 02 variants add microSD slots, while the 01 also features a VGA camera and the 00 becomes Nokia's very first dual-SIM device to hit the market. The C2 is also a dual-SIM device, but unlike the C1-00, the C2 can keep both SIMs active simultaneously, meaning you'll be able to get calls and messages to either SIM without manually switching.

Motorola's quirky square-shaped Android 2.1 creation has just become official, courtesy of the company's YouTube channel. The Flipout brings a 2.8-inch, 320 x 240 screen ( Kin killer!), a 3 megapixel camera with "one-touch" uploads to Facebook, MySpace and photo-hosting sites, and a refreshed implementation of Motoblur, which now includes resizable widgets, feed filters, and push corporate email. We hear that last feature is a real must-have with the target audience of this device.Video of the Flipout can be found just after the break, and Euro readers can expect it imminently, as the listed Q2 2010 launch date basically means it'll be out by month's end

Samsung i8330 ‘H2′ for Vodafone leaked?

At the time of its release late last year, Samsung's H1 for Vodafone's then-new 360 service represented some of the sweetest featurephone hardware that money could buy, thanks to a 3.5-inch AMOLED touchscreen, WiFi, 5 megapixel autofocus cam, and 16GB of onboard storage. Those are still killer specs, but it's always onward and upward with these guys -- so we're not surprised to see rumors of an H2 model surface. Like the H1, this new handset (apparently with internal model number i8330) is said to run LiMo (release 3 this time) and packs an 8 megapixel camera with LED flash and HD video capture, 1GHz Cortex-A8 processor, and a WVGA Super AMOLED display
