Comcast releases Xfinity Mobile App for Android with DVR scheduling and inbox acces

It's no Xfinity TV Remote but Comcast has finally delivered a free native app for Android (1.6 and above) users that brings access to its internet, TV and home phone services directly on mobile devices. Feature wise, it compares to the earlier Comcast Mobile apps for iOS , with its ability to view TV listings schedule DVR recordings remotely, access users Comcast.net inbox, sync their Comcast address book with the phone, access home voicemail and turn on call forwarding, a widget to display voicemails and emails, and view trailers of VOD programming on the device.

Google, Broadcom close to enabling 802.11n on Nexus One?

We need a name for this whole drama -- we like "n-Gate," but it's a little too close to N-Gage for comfort. Anyhow, you might recall that Google briefly listed 802.11n support in the Nexus One around the time of its release, then wiped all mention of it only to have iFixit's teardown reveal on no uncertain terms that the Broadcom-sourced wireless chipset was definitely capable of rocking it. The word on the street is that Google and Broadcom have just pushed new drivers for the chipset into the Android repository that enable the functionality, which likely means that future versions of the platform will support it -- Froyo , for instance -- including anything the Nexus One should happen to be graced with in the future.

What’s better the Passport book, Passport card, or Nexus card for a trip to Bermuda?

Boyfriend takes me on a trip to Bermuda for our year, we try to find the least expensive type of identification document to allow us on the plane and in the country. All her friends have had their passports for 2 or 3 years, but we do our delay, the trip is very expensive and do not want him to spend more, then it should. I researched and developed the three options (passport book, passport, NEXUS card or a card), but we take a plane that has taken this difficult decision Alto. HTC pulls wraps off Droid Eris’ kernel source

They knew this day was coming, but still, we can't help but feel like there must be some higher-ups at Verizon that are squirming today at the knowledge that the innermost workings of one of their highest-profile smartphones -- the Droid Eris -- are now available to anyone willing to invest the couple minutes that the package takes to download. This should give hackers some more elbow room to cook custom ROMs for Verizon's remix of the Hero -- and if they can beat an official Android 2.1 release for the phone by even a single day, that sounds like a win in our book
