Samsung SGH-i916 spotted cuddling up to an iPhone 4 in the wilds of Canada

Unless our eyes deceive us most cruelly, the Samsung phone we see above looks identical to the i917 Windows Phone 7 handset we've been seeing all over the place . Curious then that it bears the title of SGH-i91 6 . We can only surmise that there's some minuscule difference between the two phones, with this i916 seemingly set to ride Rogers airwaves up in Canada -- purportedly with none of Samsung's own branding anywhere on its shell

Nokia C7 pre-orders go live in some markets

By and large, Nokia's positioning the C7 as a lower-cost alternative to the N8 -- but with a relatively small pricing gap between the two in some regions, it seems like a lot of folks are going to want to just take the plunge and go for the 12 megapixel beast. In Finland, the C7 is now up for pre-order on Nokia's official web store for €439 ($582) unlocked, which isn't terribly much less than the N8 that can be had for €499 ($661). Well, with the delay, it actually can't be had just yet ; wouldn't be interesting if the just-announced C7 ended up shipping first?

Dual SIM iPhone 4 case gives your multiple personality disorder a new lease on life

Sure, there are any number of phones with dual SIM card slots , most of them built for Asian markets, but the iPhone 4 is about the furthest thing from dual SIM: in fact, it doesn't even have one Big Person SIM to call its own. Luckily, USBFever has a hacktastic solution to this problem (a followup to their iPhone 3G version ), with a new $30 case that can host dual full size SIM cards on the back of an iPhone 4 (entombed in some classy clear plastic, naturally), while running an adapter to the iPhone 4's micro SIM slot. You can then switch between the two SIMs from the iPhone's own settings menu, though unfortunately you can't rock both SIMs simultaneously.

The iPhone 4 may be launching on all the major Canadian carriers tomorrow , but we're only just now starting to get the actual details on what they'll be offering. Android 2.0 emulated on HTC Touch HD, almost fast enough to use

The Touch HD doesn't benefit from the HD2's mighty 1GHz Snapdragon , so you might think that emulating Android 2.0 on top of Windows Mobile on HTC's last-gen superphone would end in tears -- but surprisingly, it seems to hang tolerably well. xda-developers has a project coming along to run Android on the handset through a layer called Haret, meaning you can kind of have your cake and eat it too -- if you consider Windows Mobile a cake, that is -- by switching back and forth between the two environments at your leisure, and by all accounts, Android seems to be just a couple notches slower and more stuttery than your average MSM7200 device.

Moving a PS3 from HDMI to Component TV?

Hello, I'm gonna plug in my PS3 to a TV with HDMI input for 2-3 days. But when I'll move it back to my other here tv in my room that I mostly use, how to I do to get it working with the component cables after being set up for working with the HDMI input? I've done this before and it ended up with me reseting the whole console to be able to start it up on my tv in my room which uses component input.
