Google Goggles starts to get useful, adds text translation

In our experience, about the only thing Google Goggles is good for is telling you that your can of Coke looks like someone's face, but the company's just-released version 1.1 sounds like it might be on a whole new level of awesomeness. Basically, Goggles can now recognize text within the "region of interest" that you specify on the screen then give you the option to translate it to any language of your choosing.

HTC Legend gets firmware update in Europe, reunites with missing apps in Market

Attention, possessors of the European HTC Legend ! Have you noticed a handful of missing apps in the Market, namely Twidroid , Layar , MySpace Mobile , Barcode Scanner , Google Goggles , FxCamera , and so forth? The brilliantly quiet HTC has finally come to light with the bizarre offending bug -- camera incompatibility. Oopsie! Any moment now your metallic slab should receive the OTA update to patch things up, and hopefully the Droid Incredible will get the same fix even sooner.

Target launches first scannable mobile coupon program, frugalistas going wild

Target 's announced it is launching a scannable mobile coupon program -- the first of its kind. The opt-in program will provides Target shoppers with a customized webpage on their mobile phones, with all offers scannable at checkout via a single barcode. Trying to register PS3 Slim

Is there a spot on this site to do this? i dont seem to be able to locate it at all. all i see is the launch model and it seems the slim has a serial but i dont see a barcode.
