Skype video call, the iPhone is the official, is now available (update: Hands-on)
All the signs indicate that it is a release for a few days, but I admit: we are waiting for Skype at CES next week, expect to pull the cover away from what may be the crown jewel of service in the coming months. IOS official Skype client has finally emerging ability to make video calls when the 3G iPhone, iPhone, 4, and the fourth-generation iPod Touch users to share real-time video between themselves and the users of Skype for Windows, Mac and Linux clients with Asus Video Phone (natural 3G users are not conveniently front facing camera, but they still send the video back-facing one). In addition, you can receive video from others when you use an iPad or a third-generation iPod touch. The service is free and works on both Wi-Fi and 3G – and taking account of the current footprint of Skype’s PC, we would argue that this represents a very real opportunity to make the hurt is to use face time. Not a word on when Skype will make a video-capable clients available for Android or other mobile platform, but Skype says that there are “many more” notices in Vegas next week, so we are not surprised. />
Update: So we just gave 3.0 a spin, with the iPhone-to-iPhone (both WiFi), iPhone-to-desktop (both Wi-Fi) , and while the iPhone-to-iPhone (both 3G). The first two worked well, although the desktop camera produces better quality. What is the worst case, the 3G-to-3G video calling, well … We do not recommend it unless absolutely necessary. Video after the break, and be sure to note the battery – about 10 minutes after use, we have dropped 66 percent to 61 />
[Thanks to everyone who sent this] />

What are the best phone plans available for the google nexus one?
I bought an AT & T version of the nexus of Google phone recently. Am obliged to use AT & T as a carrier for this phone (Nexus A phone (3G GSM 850/1900/2100MHz))? What is the best plan for AT & T for a phone that is not too expensive?
Why aren’t hybrid minivans available in the U.S.?
It seems like an obvious nexus of interests: people who favor carrying capacity over flashy looks or sporty performance & people who want to save money on gas. So why aren’t there hybrid minivans (like the Toyota Estima) available in the U. S. ? Why weren’t minivans one of the first hybrid models available?
What resources are available to a recovering addict in Dallas, TX, other than NA?
I am a recovering addict with 9 mos. clean time – looking for other supportive groups in the dallas, texas area that will help me in my recovery – mentally, as well as financially – meaning I’m going back to school, starting things over – need help with housing and stuff. I went to Nexus – they were helpful at getting clean, went to IOP and SOP for about 6 mos. Now, I still need daily support – have a hard time to get to NA meetings as I can’t drive my car right now (insurance and registration out). I have bus access. . . but can’t seem to find very many meetings on bus line.
And I am looking also for other support than just NA . . . . . . i am at that stage. . . . i need a little one on one or smaller group than NA . . . more with people where I am at. . . . . . . hope some of this makes sense. . . thanks in advance for any help
For what Companies will Nexus One(google phone) be available for?
AT & T, Verizon, Sprint, etc?
