Droid Incredible getting V CAST Apps next week, whether you like it or not
Verizon has just announced that its lovely HTC Droid Incredible will be getting a fresh software update pushed over-the-air starting next week, and among the "software enhancements" will be the automatic installation of the carrier's V CAST Apps app store. Since this doesn't mean the Android Market is going away, we suppose it's not the end of the world -- and Verizon is quick to note that V CAST Apps supports carrier billing -- but the benefit of having two app stores on a phone is still anyone's guess.

NTT DoCoMo shows off automatic email generator for mobiles (video)
Demonstrated at the Wireless Technology Park 2010 exhibition last week, this automatic email generator from NTT DoCoMo promises to take just three words' worth of input, whether spoken or typed in, and convert them into a fully fleshed out, anatomically correct email. An anthropomorphic genie creature serves as your guide on this journey into gimmick world, although some rather nice sophistication is also on the cards.

AT&T fixes bug that logged users into random Facebook accounts
Okay, so we were under the impression that Facebook login credentials were a locally-managed affair, but it looks like almost anything can break when AT&T's involved -- according to CNET , the carrier just fixed "several problems" that had users logging into the wrong Facebook account from their phones. The issue was apparently related to subscriber identification numbers being mistranslated into bad URL session IDs, and AT&T says it's taken some security measures to prevent it from happening again, while Facebook's just shut off the automatic login feature that used the ID number entirely.

Nokia 5800 firmware update adds kinetic scrolling, revised home screen
Nokia has started rolling out what appears to be a major new firmware build for the venerable 5800 XpressMusic , bringing a couple key features to the phone that inaugurated S60 5th Edition over a year ago. And seriously, by all accounts, this is a big one -- in addition to kinetic scrolling, the v40 release apparently brings the 5800's home screen up to spec with the 5530's and an automatic switch to QWERTY mode input when using the handset in landscape. This would certainly seem like the perfect time to put that new Windows 7-capable NSU client to the test, too, since it's apparently not yet available over the air -- and if we had to guess, not all product codes of the 5800 are seeing it yet either, so stay close and check often until you manage to grab it.

Re: does the wii console include games? is it auto-voltage, can be used for 110 or 220 volts?
We bought a Wii for our son in the US last Christmas. We're now back in the Philippines, which uses 220 volts. What's the best thing to do: a) use an Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR)? b) use a transformer? c) have the console converted from 110 v to 220 v? Kindly advise. Thanks.
