Android Dreamcast emulator nullDCe gets early video preview, still a work in progress

Never underestimate the power of Dreamcast to live on long past its intended expiration date (which, if you ask Sega, would have been around September 2007 ). The final flagship console from the Haus of Sonic is survived by a multitude of emulators propagating across a multitude of platforms... and well, here's another.

LG Optimus 2X looks like a dual-core Star, shows off HDMI-out while embarrassing the Galaxy S on video

LG has, in the most casual fashion possible, revealed the name of a new smartphone it intends to launch in the Korean market: the Optimus 2X. That brand name was buried deep in a release yesterday about exclusive Ennio Morricone content bundled with the Optimus Mach , though some studious folks have unearthed it and subsequently found YouTube content showing off the handset

Mobile Gmail site adds features, comes to 44 more languages

Previously a US English exclusive, Google has just turned loose a new version of its shockingly-good mobile Gmail site that can be used in some 44 additional languages, including Arabic, Vietnamese, and just about everything in between (though no Esperanto or Klingon yet, we're afraid). Perhaps even better, though, the latest version adds true offline support, label management, smart links for content that can be viewed or used in other Google products, and more -- oh, and if your phone's default language is set to one of the 45 that are supported, the interface will automatically use it. We might recommend you just check it out yourself -- it's available on iOS and Android -- but if you're into cute cartoon representations of email UIs, you could check out Goog's official video after the break

Keepin’ it real fake: Verizon-branded Droid X ditches Android for Windows Mobile 6.5 (video)

No matter how many we see, we never cease to be amazed by some of the KIRFs out there. Take this Droid X, for instance, which doesn't even bother with a name like "Motorolo Foid X," and even goes so far as to include some legitimate-looking Verizon branding to back up its nearly spot-on appearance

Sprint and Clearwire deliver WiMAX to Los Angeles, Ohio, Miami and Washington DC, promise SF on December 28th

Seems like Sprint wants to get every last lick of 4G coverage in before Verizon flips the switch on LTE -- today, its joint venture with Clearwire is launching WiMAX in the City of Angels a day ahead of schedule . Lest you think Los Angeles is getting special treatment, five other cellular markets can now also get a taste of 5Mbps to 7Mbps download speeds, including Miami, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Columbus and our nation's capitol, Washington D.C. That brings the total number of regions where you'll get some mileage out of that $10 surcharge up to 68, in case you're keeping track.
