New Potato reveals TuneLink Auto Bluetooth-to-FM transmitter for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad
We've never been on the volunteer cheerleading squad for FM transmitters; in our experience, they're downright useless in cities or other areas that actually have a large amount of radio stations nearby. But we'll hand it to New Potato Technologies -- this may be the slickest implementation yet. The newly announced TuneLink Auto looks like a typical cigarette adapter charger at first glance, but within, there's technology that accepts audio over Bluetooth and then sends it out over FM

Dish Network remote access app comes to Android, your Harmony groans
Dish Network took another step towards its ambitious TV Everywhere plans -- not to be confused with Comcast's and Time Warner's TV Everywhere partnership -- by releasing the Android version of its Dish remote access app late last week. This nicely completes the provider's suite of mobile offerings, which have already been available on the iPhone, iPad and certain BlackBerry phones

FCC looking to accept 911 texting, MMS, and even streaming video
Texting has taken over mobile networks, and now it's destined to overwhelm our emergency responders as well. According to Wired Epicenter , the FCC is looking to follow in the footsteps of those trailblazing Iowans and expand its 911 services to allow emergencies to be reported via text message, and while at first glance that may sound silly, we can think of some times when it could make a lot of sense

Samsung Ch@t 335 looks like a winner, if you’re into QWERTY and slow data
Following the Ch@t 322's lead last month, rumor has it that Samsung is gearing up to add another model to the low-end portrait QWERTY lineup, the S3350 Ch@t 335. PortableGear.nl has this one pegged for an initial launch in Belgium with WiFi, social network integration, a 2 megapixel cam, FM radio, and 3.5mm headphone jack, but it'll be lacking 3G -- a telltale sign that it's gunning for the bottom of the market

Verizon adds Skype to Pantech Crux, LG Octane, and Samsung Zeal
A proper Skype experience still remains pretty tough to get in the US, unless you have the good fortune of being on Verizon or you own an iPhone -- but Big Red's seen fit to expand its reach a little further today with the announcement that three more phone models are supported with the official Skype Mobile app. The new devices are the LG Octane , Pantech Crux , and Samsung Zeal , none of which are being announced today for the first time today... and none of which are even remotely close to smartphone territory, so it's nice to see that Verizon seems committed to keeping Skype available across the breadth of its lineup

Nokia C2-01 and X2-01 break cover: cheap to the max, launching soon
Symbian and MeeGo might be getting all the attention, but for Nokia, Series 40 is still very much a meat-and-potatoes part of the operation -- and to that end, they've announced a pair of new models today that go exceptionally easy on the pocketbook. First up, the C2-01 (pictured left) is claimed to be the cheapest 3G handset in Espoo's lineup, featuring a 3.2 megapixel camera, FM radio, Bluetooth, and memory expansion up to 16GB atop a 2-inch display; it'll be available in the first quarter of 2011 for around €70 ($95). Next up, the X2-01 certainly looks like a Symbian device from a distance -- but don't be fooled, it's still straight-up Series 40 with a full QWERTY portrait keyboard.
