Is the unlimited data plan required for Verizon Droid?
I am thinking about upgrading my phone to the droid. First of all, does anyone know what the upgrade price is? Second of all, is the unlimited data plan required to use it?

The upgrade price is $200. The $30/month data plan is required.
Great to hear you are interested in it. I’m loving my droid. The price depends on where you buy the phone of course. You can try wirefly but you may just want to buy locally at Walmart. Walmart lists the droid at $188. Verizon may gave you “new every two” credit, up to $50 credit on a new phone also.
The data plan is required. $30. I haven’t even heard anyone sweet talking their way around it either.
