Blu ray movies problems / Blu ray games, fine?

Any help that can be offered on this issue I would greatly appreciate.  As of yesterday my blu ray movies have started, skipping?  They’ll play for an hour, an hour and a half, then it’s like they get stuck in a fast forward mode, then play, then fast forward again (not EVEN touching the controller mind you), then as I try to rewind the movies they lock up.  When I quit the movie, the system has issues registering the movie disc.  If I eject the blu ray movie and go to a blu ray game everything is good.  Which kind of drives my mind to think, okay, software issue, maybe.

I played me some MW2, SFIV, and the such, no problem.  Play a DVD movie, no problem either.  (Special note:  Just got a surround sound system to watch with the movies this Christmas, um, yeah, great timing!)  Tried playing the movies while the system was on it’s side, again, played for an hour or so, then started fast forwarding again, locks up, etc.

I have a 60gig, had it for a few years and it still runs, (ran), like a champ until yesterday with the movie issues.  Thoughts?  Thanks in advance for any solutions that can be offered.
