PLEASE HELP TV FLASHING PROMBLEM

i have a ps3  slim and its hooked up to a 19 inch flat screen tv that can go 1800i and when i use my hdmi cables every time a turn a light on or unplung somthing extra my tv goes black for a couple seconds please help.
