PS3 Warrentee Price?

Im probably going to buy my PS3 at Gamestop after christmas since im most likely going to have a few gift cards for there, but anyone know how much there warranty is and how long it lasts? i made the mistake of not buying the warranty on my 40 gb and i upgraded it to a 250 gb system shortly after it started to get realy noisy it was like that for 6 months untill a couple weeks ago it bit it, YLOD. im hopefully getting it fixed via a cheap ebay shop. But with my new slim im going to play it safe, so anyone know how much warranty is and how many years its good for, Gamestop, and if you happen to know wal marts id like to know also…
