Complicated Situation. I NEED help with PSN.
OK I tried searching a lil bit, but like most people new to a forum I failed.
Here is my problem. 2 days ago my brother Eric was playing MW2. After playing my brother Nick turned the PS3 on to play, but couldn’t. He had to reset time and date and some other start uo things. The next morning Nick wakes me up to tell me what is going on. Our PS3 had lost all updates it had seemed just by looking at the PS screen. It was in black and white and for whatever reason, my brother Eric’s account says "*User 1" now instead of his name. I noticed we were no longer connected to the internet so I reentered our wep key and linked us back up. I then updated the system.
Here’s where the problem starts. I wasn’t sure what mine or my brother nick’s user id’s and passwords were to get on to Playstation Network so that we could then continue to play Modern Warfare 2. I set my account up years ago. Nick and I paid half and half for the sytem when they first came out. It was along time ago that we set up our user id’s and passwords. I then began entering the few email addresses that I thought I would have used, along with the usual passwords. I thought I had found it. The right email with the right password. WRONG!!! Something I also did a few years ago was create a new account on my PS3 and when I did that I also created a new account on PSN, which is what i’ve been using and is what I’m using to post on this up right now. Well the email and password that I used was for my old account that I no longer use nor ever used much at all. But because I first logged in with that it wont let me log into PSN. It will only let me log into my old account which is of no use to me. I would like to get back on my PSN account of bunique_8 so that I could continue my gameplay and keep all my friends.
I tried resetting to default setting and thought that would work cause it resets the PSN sign in. However it did not. If I could do whatever happened 2 days ago when Eric turned it off that would be great. Any suggestions and help would be appreciated. I have emailed customer service informing them of my problem. I’m supposed to hear from them in 24-48hrs. Also we didn’t lose any data that was on our PS3.
