Am I crazy? Which would you buy?
My PS3* was stolen about a month and a week ago, PoPo got a case number and all, hoping time will either heal wounds or an uncanny miracle happens and I get back my PS3 (yeah right, fat chance). *updated 250 GB mem drive with a LOT of movies, music and some games. But whats crazy to me is I'm thinking about buying an iPod touch (8GB is too small, so i'm thinking 32GB) the 32GB cost $300, A New PS3 costs $300, now I'm thinking what will I enjoy more.

Going to order PS3 Tomorrow
I'm finally going to be getting a PS3. I'll be ordering one tomorrow from Amazon. The only thing I have to decide is which one to get. I'm thinking between the 80GB Phat and the 120GB Slim. From what I've read the Slim is the "better" console with a smaller design, less power consumption, less heat, and bigger HDD. The only thing I'm worried about is reliability. I know the 80GB non B/C Phat PS3s are reliable. As far as I know hardly any if any non B/C 80GB models got the YLOD. I've heard some people say that the Slim gets really hot and actually can sound louder then a Phat PS3. I think the fan is sometimes due to a faulty system. I've also heard that if the power cord is plug into the system the wrong way the fan will spin the wrong way and heat the system up. Was that ever confirmed to be true? Basically which one would be the better buy in the long run? Do you guys see the Slim to being a reliable system that'll last until the PS4? Also has anyone bought one from Amazon before? Are they pretty good at keeping it safe while shipping it? Also if I do get one that is faulty can I ship it back to take it somewhere to get it exchanged? I'm getting Uncharted 2, which comes out on the 13th, so I won't be able to do much with it until then. I believe there is a public MP demo of it out right now, so I woudl just play that until I got the game.
