PS3 freezing = normal or not?

So, is it normal for a PS3 to freeze every once and a while? Every PS3 freezes, right? It’s not my PS3 only, is it? It also doesn’t mean my PS3 is busted… does it? It has happened to me a few times. Once in home and once while oppening up a message a friend sent me while playing a game. Not to mention my PS3 is a new 80 Gb bought less than a month ago…
