PS3 connection speed with Vista (WMP 11)

Hi,

 

First I have a hard time connecting both together, Vista "sees" the PS3, but not the opposite, but they both connect OK on my router…

 

Anyway, I found a little free program that instantly connected both… http://ps3mediaserver.blogspot.com/2009/02/v104.html

 

All this resulted in the fact that initially I was connected wirelessly and It seems that the connection was too slow. Certain movie’s image would stop, while the sound continues, then it comes back sync.

 

Then I connected them both on the same router but hardwire. (100mbs), the router is not capable of 1000mbs…

 

I still get the same problem, do I need to get a 1000mbs router?

It seems to me that 100mbs should be enough to play all types of DIVX movies… even with AC3 sound.

 

Anyone had the same problem and hopefully found a solution?!!!
